What makes Fest so different from other punk-affiliated festivals such as Riot Fest or Pouzza Fest is that it serves as a barometer of where the punk scene is while remaining impervious to outside trends. Instead of trying to keep pace with the outside world, Fest has its own focus, giving the bands that play a stamp of approval they can’t get anywhere else.
Stick To Your Guns has announced their annual "Keeping Warm In A Cold World" charity holiday shows - 4 intimate shows where a portion of profits go towards the Wildlife Defense League. The Glamour Kills Holiday Fest, which will announce its full lineup next week, is going to be on December 14 at Webster Hall in New York City. It will be an all-day affair that will use all three Webster rooms, and there are a limited amount of pre-sale tickets available now. PropertyOfZack is presenting the one-day festival as a celebration of its five-year anniversary as a site.
I Call Fives will be playing their debut EP, First Things First, to celebrate its six year anniversary on December 20th at the TLA in Philadelphia. Dan Campbell of The Wonder Years will be providing vocals for the band. The bill also includes Man Overboard, State Champs, Tiny Moving Parts, Front Porch Step, and Light Years.
