St. Vincent stopped by The Colbert Report to perform her new single, "Digital Witness." She also stuck around after the show to perform "Birth in Reverse" as well. Both songs are off her new self-titled album, which hit stores yesterday. Oh, and her interview with Stephen Colbert was charming, per usual.

In a big move for late night TV, Jimmy Fallon took over The Tonight Show last night. On the debut episode Will Smith was a guest and he was presented with one of Chris Farren's (Fake Problems) "The Smiths" shirts ... kinda amazing. Congrats Chris! If you want a shirt you can pick one up here.

Grammy executive producer, Ken Ehrlich, has apologized to Trent Reznor for cutting their set short.
Im sorry he was upset. I was really thrilled that we were finally getting him on the Grammys. The final jam started with Arcade Fire a few years ago, and LL Cool J last year. I want to end on a high, an up note. I did tell them wed take it as long as we could. The number was about five, six minutes long, and we got to within a minute twenty of the end. We got as close as we could possibly get.

The complete list of all the nominations for next month's 56th Annual Grammy Awards has been announced. Justin Timberlake was snubbed all night, but Kendrick Lamar was a big winner. I found myself somewhere above average, correctly predicting 12 of the 20 nominees.

Katy Perry performed at the AMAs last night in what appears to be a mixture of a Japanese kimono and a Chinese cheongsam. You know what the online response is going to be right? Not good.
And because of that, some are calling Perry's performance racist. One Twitter user (via The Huffington Post) said Perry "nailed the traditionally ignorant costume of a white pop singer." Another also asked, "why are you dressed like a geisha katy perry. why. for what. #thisisracist like horribly obviously racist." [SIC]

Fall Out Boy, Coheed and Cambria, Saosin, and My Chemical Romance were forever memorialized as the subject of parody in an episode of South Park tonight. Just what we need: more stereotypes of kids cutting themselves to "emo" music. Gotta be the most press Saosin's had in ages though.

Arcade Fire debuted four new songs in total from their upcoming LP Reflektor tonight. First they were the musical guests on Saturday Night Live, where they performed the title track from the album as well as "Afterlife." Following that the band debuted "Here Comes the Night Time," "We Exist," and balls-to-the-wall rocker "Normal People" on a concert special broadcast by NBC immediately after SNL. The concert included a variety of pretty random celebrity cameos (including Michael Cera, Bono, Ben Stiller, James Franco, Rainn Wilson, Zach Galifinakis and more) as well as a lot of bizarre but exuberant dancing both in the band and the audience alike. If you watched either SNL or the concert...
