That's Outrageous recently began asking for donations in an IndieGoGo project to fund their second record. Many questioned the $7,500 goal the band was trying to reach, so the group has outlined that budget in a blog here. The budget includes $2,500 for CDs, $1,000 for travel, $1,500 for start-up merch costs, $500 for mastering the album and $1,500+ for studio time.

Adam PfleiderListening to a lot of Unwound lately, but then I received Duck. Little Brother, Duck!'s Don't Take Our Filth Away, and it's been on repeat since Thursday.
Jason TateHmmm, that new John Mayer album is pretty damn good. I also didn't hate "Safe House" (the movie), and thought "Tree of Life" was a damn masterpiece if you haven't seen it yet.
Alex DiVincenzoI finally got my Blink 182 tattoo, so I've been listening to a lot of their music to celebrate.

A fascinating new kickstarter has been making the rounds the past week or so, it's called the gTar. Basically, it's a fully digital guitar - that you can hook up to an iOS device and it can teach you how to play as well as a few other tricks.
From the KickstarterYou may be asking yourself what it means for a guitar to be "digital." While most guitars have pickups to amplify the sound of vibrating strings, the gTar has none - instead, we've designed the gTar with sensors that detect exactly what you're playing in real-time and relay each note to your iPhone, which then produces the actual sound. This makes it possible for us to do all kinds of exciting things ...

Against Me! singer-guitarist Tom Gabel made her live debut as Laura Jane Grace on Friday, performing with the band under her new name for the first time.
From the ArticleCharging through a 40-minute set at Humphreys Concerts by the Bay in San Diego – the first stop in a month-long U.S. tour with British rockers the Cult – the quartet played six new songs, including the rollicking anthem "Transgender Dysphoria Blues," the title track of an album they're working on. Decked out in a loose-fitting black tank top, tight black jeans and black eye shadow, Grace was in high spirits as she delivered her trademark, throat-shredding screams.

John Mayer wrote a blog discussing Born and Raised's release week. You can read the blog below.
BlogWell, that’s a wrap on release week promotion for Born and Raised. It’s so phenomenally weird to wake up this morning at home and not in the back of a bus somewhere. On the bright side, releasing this album and getting back in touch with my fans has been something I’ve been waiting to experience for a long time now. I’m finally at a place in my life where I can truly appreciate the kindness and support, and you have shown me lots of it. Thank you for that.

As I understand it, the album is set to enter the charts at number one, which is just incredible on all your parts because there...
