The award was decided by a panel of judges featuring Peter Hook (Joy Division/New Order), Dom Howard and Chris Wolstenholme (Muse), Tom Smith (Editors), Tim Burgess (The Charlatans), Charlie Fink (Noah and The Whale), Craig Potter (Elbow) as well Xfm radio hosts. Some parts of it were taken for other songs, and at the time, it was the only song that did not make the record. In Pantera, we never had songs that didn’t make the record. If we were going to write 11 songs, then we’d write 11 quality songs. Some bands write 40 songs and then hope they have nine good ones in the bunch. That sucks. Madina Lake have dropped off their current tour and will be taking some time off.
From the StatementAt this stage in our career, we can't afford to sustain such a tour, under the current structure of it. We've high tailed it back and forth the US soil roughly 9 times over 6 years. As impossible of a decision as it was, we had to pull the plug.
