Well, if you havent noticed, i havent played a show with the acacia strain in years and ive just been writing the music for them. Ive been informed today that they will continue on without me, meaning shows and writing albums. This is totally understandable and i wish the band the best. I'll be around, as im still recording and producing and also have another project in the works.
Linkin Park's Chester Bennington has joined Stone Temple Pilots, replacing original vocalist Scott Weiland (fired for the billionth time in February). The band revealed Chester in a surprise performance at the KROQ Weenie Roast yesterday, playing a set which included a new song called "Out Of Time." The recorded version is in the replies - What do you think?
Aaron Melzer (ex-Author and Finisher) has joined Secrets on vocals. The band is currently in the studio working on their sophomore album. Watch the video announcement in the replies.
Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit have added guitarist Sadler Vaden in preparation for their upcoming summer tour--dates are in the replies. Isbell releases his second solo album Southeastern on June 11 via Thirty Tigers.
I didn’t want to really mention this or draw a lot of attention to it because it’s really just not a big deal, but so many of you are asking since he posted on twitter yesterday. Christian is no longer playing in Candy Hearts. We want to assure you that the three of us (Kris, Matt and I) believe this is the best possible move for our band. We are more excited than ever to make a new record, tour and keep getting our music out there to you guys - because you mean the most us.
Xander Bourgeois has left Secrets to pursue other projects in addition to trying to maintain his sobriety.
Hey everyone, its Xander here.
as we know, all good things come to an end, BUT this is definitely not the end for neither myself nor Secrets, but I have made the decision to quit Secrets in order to maintain my sobriety and also make a new band for myself. I love everyone in this band and wish Secrets the best, I hope all of you can understand where I am coming from, I love you guys so much and thank you for the abundance in support throughout the past two years. see you soon.
here is a video I made in order to further explain my decision.

Yuck's lead singer/guitarist Daniel Blumberg has left the band. The band will continue without him, and they promise "new music [and] new tour dates...coming very soon."
Five-plus years later here I am writing about a name that suddenly carries some meaning. There are people across the country who know what Tiger! Tiger! is. No longer is it just a collection of songs that I’ve written. When we go to play shows in other states people come and sing along. They recognize our songs and enjoy watching Tiger! Tiger! play. It honestly blows my and all the rest of my bandmate’s minds that this happens. We understand that we’re not the biggest band around, but we know that there are plenty of people out there that love and care about Tiger! Tiger!....
The album also features three drummers: Dave Grohl, as was previously reported; Joey Castillo, the band’s now-former drummer; and Jon Theodore, who played drums for The Mars Volta on their first three records and accompanying tours, as well as One Day As a Lion with Zack De La Rocha of Rage Against The Machine. The announcement below is cryptic in just how much of a role Theodore plays, but it’s our understanding that he is the current active drummer in Queens Of The Stone Age.
Baroness drummer Allen Blickle and bassist Matt Maggioni have parted ways with the band.
Nothing can truly prepare you for a brush with death. The event is unique one, singular to the observer. Trust me, you don’t want to invite the experience. Our bus accident left indelible marks, external and internal, physical and mental, you name it. Each of the nine of us went through and continues to go through an entirely different, yet common experience. We are tied to each other by a trauma, which, despite its damage, has been made individually easier through our shared ordeal. While I would never wish the incident on anyone, I cannot imagine going through that wreck alone.
Music has always been one of my passions and that's what drew me to this band in the first place. The music comes first, and I know that the talent of the band will rise above this member change and they will find a new arrangement that will blow your minds.
Adam, Pat, and Dennis have leftTigers Jaw. While the band had to cancel its mainland Europe tour dates, they are still planning a full US Tour this summer. You can read their announcement in the replies.
To my friends, family, and all the amazing Motionless In White fans, this is very hard to say, and I’m sure it will hit me harder soon, but I will no longer be in the band. This decision did not just all of sudden happen. After doing this since I was 17, the nonstop touring, and everything else that comes with the life of a musician, has finally caught up with me. It has affected me mentally and physically and it’s to a point where the best thing for the rest of the band and myself would be for me to call it quits. Please know that the band and I are on good terms, best of friends and I love them all very much. No matter...
Woe, Is Me has parted ways with their drummer, Austin Thornton, leaving rhythm guitarist Kevin Hanson as the only original band member. No tour dates will be cancelled, and a statement can be read in the replies.
Heroes For Hire vocalist Brad Smith has left the band. Guitarist Duane Hazell is stepping up as frontman. A lengthy statement from Hazell can be found below.
This will be the first and last thing I am going to say about everything that's going on right now regarding Heroes For Hire. To everyone saying that there are no original members left in Heroes For Hire and that we are just using the band name to promote a completely new band: I can't even remember how many years ago it was exactly that I joined Heroes For Hire, but if I had to guess, I'd say it was about 5 or 6 years ago. Before I officially joined, I was filling in on bass guitar at a few small local shows due to their...
Ben Gibbard was one of many musicians to audition for The Postal Service - watch some of the other musicians who tried out - like Tom DeLonge. And Nate Mendel. And a bunch others that I don't want to give away.
Original vocalist Donny Thomas has rejoined Oh, Manhattan. The band is currently in the studio recording a new EP titled A Generation in Peril, which is due out this summer.
Emerging from what seemed to be a permanent hiatus, Oh, Manhattan returns with some new members, new material, and one hell of a story to tell. The hiatus began when key members, including Hance Alligood joining Woe, Is Me, left the band, but original vocalist and lyricist Donny Thomas has now officially rejoined. Donny is teaming up once again with guitarist Cody Gray, the two main writers of Spiritual Warfare, and the duo will be joined by returning guitarist Chris Branton as the only remaining members of Oh,...
