Thrones has landed Icelandic art-pop sensation Sigur Rós to appear in season four. Jón Ţór “Jónsi” Birgisson, Georg Hólm and Orri Páll Dýrason are currently shooting an appearance on the Thrones set in Croatia. What will the band mates do? Will they play a song? Might a bowed guitar be involved?

Kjartan Sveinsson has left Sigur Rós permanently. The band revealed the news today during their AMA on Reddit. On a positive note, the band stated that their new album would be "more aggressive" this time around. You can watch a tour teaser that features some new music in the replies.

Multi-instrumentalist Kjartan Sveinsson has pulled out of Sigur Ros' world tour, but has not quit the band. He will be replaced on the group's upcoming tour by Ólafur Björn Ólafsson on keyboard and oboe, and Kjartan Dagur Hólm - younger brother of bassist Georg Hólm and member of For A Minor Reflection - on guitar. Sigur Ros will release Valtari on May 28.
Sigur Ros released the official video for "Eg Anda" today, produced by a filmmaker outside of the band. This was done to bypass the usual artistic approval process and allow the filmmaker utmost creative freedom.
