On “Purpose,” (RBMG/Def Jam) Mr. Bieber steps down from the cross, still hemorrhaging. Apart from its huge already-released hits “Where Are Ü Now” and “What Do You Mean?” this album exists less as a contribution to popular music than as a plot point in Mr. Bieber’s public narrative. He has gone astray. He is sorry. “You know I try,” he sings, “but I don’t do well with apologies.”

everyone always plays ‘catch the hypocrite’ with me. probably because i often make the stupid mistake of having opinions and saying them out loud. it’s smarter for well known people to smile and keep their mouth shut […] when has there NOT been negativity about me?

She & Him's Columbia Records debut will be a cover album titled Classics.
She & Him recorded the album live, allowing a spontaneity that captured the spirit of the songs in their truest form. Ward exercised his acute ear for string arrangements, co-arranging a full 20-piece orchestra. The result unfurls as thirteen classic cuts as heartbreaking as they are uplifting.

From The InterviewWell, I think that the most personal songs end up becoming the most universal, and we’ve always gravitated towards really honest songs, songs that really speak to ourselves such as a song like “Dare You To Move” – each night we’re throwing that song out there, but we’re singing it inward at the same time, I think it still rings true all these years later.

Edit: The opening track "We Take Care of Our Own" can be heard in the replies.

According to the British iTunes website, the name of Bruce Springsteen's new record is Wrecking Ball and its expected release in the UK is March 5. This would theoretically mean a March 6 release in the U.S. The album is slated for 13 songs, which includes two bonus tracks. Fans will recognize "Wrecking Ball" as the name of a song Springsteen wrote and dedicated to the closing of Giants Stadium in 2009; the tracklisting also includes "Land of Hope and Dreams," which is presumably the same song as the B-side from The Rising era, and one of the bonus tracks is "American Land," which Springsteen has played in...
