Mest's Kickstarter to fund their acoustic record was successful. The band asked for $3,000 and was able to raise $11,332 with the help of 321 backers.

You may have noticed that the new Mest album didn't come out today. It was due to "mixing and mastering." Look for a free download of a new song next week, but there's been no mention of a new release date yet.

From the InterviewYeah, looking back at the time, I think I was thinking it was just recreational use and I was having a good time, but then I realized there'd be two or three days where I'd be laying on the couch and I wouldn't even get up to eat, then I'd have such bad anxiety where I couldn't even get in my own car to drive two blocks to Burger King or something. Tony Lovato (former singer of Mest), who was accused of murder after fatally stabbing a man on March 25th, has been released from jail and will not face murder charges.

Fan reports in: According to John Feldman of Goldfinger (based on what he said at their show in Petaluma), Matt (bass) of Mest left the band to paint full time, and an old Goldfinger guitarist will be filling in for him on the band's last tour. After the tour, Jeremiah (guitar) is leaving to write screenplays for movies. Nick and Tony will stay together and start a new band.
