For me, it was just what I happened to listen to. Pop music usually underwhelmed me, and true street punk music did not speak to me either. Pop punk felt just right. I could sing melodies that had emotion while still playing loud and fast.

We present the Ode 2 Summer mixtape. This collection, in a sense, is a sonic scrapbook. Many of the track titles are taken from areas we had passed through. As the summer came to an end, so did the process of making our new album. We offer up this tape in the meantime while we await the arrival of warmer weather and reflect on the past year. In spite of its insane price tag -- The Starting Line's Say It Like You Mean It seems to be selling quite well. The green variant (/500) sold out almost immediately but there are still some blue versions up if you want it.
The Starting Line album will be a double vinyl pressing, complete with a D-side etching and housed inside a gatefold jacket (along with an insert). The album has been mastered specifically for the format. There will at least be blue and green variants (no pressing numbers given). The pressing will include an acoustic version of “The Best Of Me” and “Greg’s Last Day.” Pre-orders are expected to launch soon for the May 27th release.
