Bloc Party recently played the first date of their short UK tour before their full world tour later this year. They debuted seven new songs from their forthcoming album Four including "3x3", "Team A" and "Real Talk", videos of which can be found in the replies along with the setlist.

Kele Okereke was on the Zane Lowe BBC Breakfast Show this morning and confirmed that Bloc Party are currently recording their fourth album for release later this year and have a couple of songs completed.

Bloc Party is apparently not impressed with Panic! at the Disco after their recent tour dates together. Drummer Matt Tong said, "I couldn't make an accurate summation [about Panic] based on the three-minute conversation I had with the lead singer [Brendon Urie]. But to me, there should always be an inherent difference between playing music and expressing yourself without considering business factors, and the music becoming a means to an end and not being to entertain people or attain some sense of creative self-worth. You know, to be a rung in the ladder...of a business empire."
Bloc Party will be releasing their single "The Prayer" on January 29th internationally through Wichita Recordings. It comes in several forms which you can check out below. No word yet on an American release. You can stream the single here.
After last night's performance, Bloc Party's Matt Tong was admitted to an Atlanta hospital with a collapsed lung. The band has been forced to cancel some of their upcoming tour dates with Panic! At The Disco, including Charlotte, NC, Fairfax, VA, and NYC. You can go to their website for the full update.
Bloc Party, almost done recording their second album, revealed to their fans in a letter that they would be featuring more R&B-styled beats, strings, double drum kits, and things of that nature. The album will be out in early 2007.
