Counting Crows will be playing Somewhere Under Wonderland LIVE at Irving Plaza on August 31st. The free, one-night only show, will feature the band's live performance of the new album along with some of their classic hits. You'll be able to stream the show live on Yahoo.

Counting Crows have finished recording a new album. They plan to mix the record in April and it's slated for release in August or September. This will be the group's first full-length comprised of original material since 2008's Saturday Nights & Sunday Mornings.

Counting Crows will be releasing their album August and Everything After on vinyl on October 29th, 2012. This is the first time the album will be available on vinyl in the US.

Counting Crows released Underwater Sunshine (Or What We Did On Our Summer Vacation) in June - which you can stream in the replies - and they want you to download four new songs from the album, complete with liner notes and artwork, for free on BitTorrent. In addition, BitTorrent and Counting Crows frontman Adam Duritz will host a Q&A session with fans on Twitter at 4 p.m. EST today. In a recent online article talking about music listeners' perceptions on Counting Crows, frontman Adam Duritz namedropped AP.net in his interview piece.
From the article"The big people who've told me they were influenced by our music are in the punk community," Duritz said. "It was magazines like Alternative Press and absolutepunk.net that first came out and started really talking about (how) people need to revise their opinions of Counting Crows and it came from that community."

At tonights show in Altoona, PA, Counting Crows announced that their new double disc album would be in stores November 6th and is called Saturday Nights and Sunday Mornings. They said the first disc is Saturday Nights and is about sin, dilution, and break down and that Sunday Mornings is about having to live with what you've done. Half the set was new songs and they all sounded fantastic. Adam also said, "Touring isn't about New York City or Chicago.
