In advance of their upcoming shows together, Moving Mountains and Moneen have each covered one of the other band's songs. They're premiering over at Brooklyn Vegan, and will be available everywhere on Friday via Dine Alone Records. Moving Mountains covered "Great Escape," while Moneen covered "Armslength."
Moving Mountains will be playing three shows this fall to celebrate the release of their self-titled record. The band says in a statement, which is in the replies, these will likely be the last shows they play together for a while as they will be pursuing other musical projects for the foreseeable future. Caravela, This Old Ghost and Field Mouse will be along for support.

A lot of it was considered while writing the record. One idea that I became obsessed with, was trying to create those simple melodies that when synced up, strike that nerve, or that feeling inside you. In the spring of 2013, we made our way back to Telegraph Recording with producer Mike Kalajian to perform, and record our new record live. We also enlisted our friends Sean Gallagher, and Rob Pizzolato to help film it. Instead of releasing a single, or actual album tracks - our plan is release a new video every few days (in the order of the album) leading up to the release on September 10th. Moving Mountains is currently writing their new album, which will go into pre-production at the end of this month. The band will then head to Atlanta to record with Matt Goldman. Also, Josh Kirby is a full-time member now.
