Wow. Iíll go out on a limb here and suggest that Brand New is one of the worst bands Iíve ever seen in decades of concert attendance. Horribly out of tune, dedicatedly dirge-dedicated, apparently hostile to anything resembling a melody, and, one would guess, comfortable with the idea of blending emo, metal, hardcore, and punk with an ear for the atonal, the group offered a set that just didnít seem to want to end. It did, eventually.
Triple Crown Records has repressedBrand New's The Devil and God Are Raging Inside of Me. 500 copies on seafoam green and 3,000 on standard black vinyl. Be quick, I don't see these making it past tomorrow.
A purported rare testing pressing (I can't confirm if it's real a real test press or not, you'll have to trust the poster) of Brand New's Your Favorite Weapon has been put on eBay to raise money to try and save a non-profit all ages venue/art space the owner opened last May.
I think there were less than 10 test pressings of this record, it was eventually repressed a ton of times on different labels, but this is the Iodine recordings version, the real 1st pressing. This record was a gift, and I do not want to part with it, but it may be the only way to save the non profit all ages venue/art space I opened last May. I was lucky enough to book / work with Brand New before they became a...

Just taking a minute to thank everyone for all the fun at the shows recently. As Chris Conley would say, we feel powerfully psyched. It's a beautiful day today, and we are really looking forward to tonight and the remainder of the shows on the East coast.
We've put some new t-shirt set designs up in the store. One design of each set will be available exclusively at live events, so if you happen to be at a show, pick one up.
Brand Newhave updated fightoffyourdemons.com with the news that they've been doing some writing, some recording and some "studio building" with promises that more updates will be coming soon. Holy shit. The whole update is in the replies.
Happy birthday to one of AbsolutePunk.net's sweetest and most adored children, Brand New's Deja Entendu, who turned 11 years old yesterday. It's crazy how fast these kids are growing up. Probably we should get them an iPhone now.
Virginia, North Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, South Carolina and Florida, you're all in luck. Updated list of dates in the replies and pre-sale here at noon local time (for all dates except the three Florida dates, which were previously announced). So will there be a new album around October?
Haha, thatís my favorite question! Itís one of those things where I have to remind myself not to be a dick. (laughs) I have a very close relationship with the band, and they always want to put music out a certain way, both aesthetically and sonically. Thatís why I donít want to just press it and put it out there. When we reissued Your Favorite Weapon they went back and remastered the whole thing. They always want to do...
DLSL Design Co., the company that made those talked-about blink-182art prints, is back with round two of their Covers series. This time the works he drew inspiration from are Your Favorite Weapon, Deja Entendu and The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me, but he seems to have taken note of some criticisms pointed out in the last thread and has changed his thought process behind the designs. Check them out in the replies and if you dig them, they're available on Etsy.
PropertyOfZack attended Brand New's show last night in Brooklyn and reported that the band is currently recording new music. Maybe this is the year that putting Brand New on your most anticipated lists will actually pay off.
Brand New have started their east coast shows with ... The Devil and God are Raging Inside Me. They followed that up with Daisy. This led to disappointed Brand New fans. Yep, it's exactly what you fear.
Tickets links for all shows will be rolled out over the coming weeks, and we will also be announcing opening acts and more specific dates in the near future. In regards to the two album set lists weíve played recently, we havenít decided or committed to playing these sets in Europe, or for any other future tour, but itís not impossible that it will happen. Weíre not being cryptic, just letting you know in case you were wondering.
If you are one of the 3 people in France that still listen to us, weíre sorry, but the rest of your country didnít want us there. Next time. We swear! Also, If you live in Ireland, we arenít...
Predictably, Brand New are playing The Devil and God... and Daisy tonight. A couple of users are at the show and have reported that the set-list on page one is TDAG, "Fork and Knife," and "Coca Cola" while page two contains Daisy and "Untitled." Hit the replies for a high quality video of "(Fork and Knife)."
Miss Brand New's show last night? Check the replies for a bunch of videos. I bet a bunch of Craigslisters are pissed someone spent the whole time watching this through their phone -- but we get videos, so, um, thanks!
Brand New played a "greatest hits" set tonight at the Troubadour in Los Angeles, or as Jesse put it: "a bunch of songs we know how to play." Staff writer Jack Appleby was at the show and will have a write-up tomorrow. In the mean time, hit the replies to check out a few photos and the setlist, as well as to commiserate with uninhibited jealousy.
