Pulley will be performing Matters in its entirety on October 18th in Sainte-Thérèse, Quebec, at Music 4 Cancer Fest IV. As well as this, the band have announced that they will also be playing songs from Rev, singer Scott Radinsky's former band. Tickets are limited to 500, with all proceeds going to charity.
Longtime Canadian punk rock band Headstones will release their new album Love + Fury next week via Frostbyte Records. It's the band's first album in 11 years and the single “longwaytoneverland” has already reached #1 on the Canadian Rock and Alternative Charts. Frontman Hugh Dillon has also landed roles in AMC’s The Killing, CBS’s Flashpoint, and Degrassi: The Next Generation.

“If I have a one four-member American band at the Palomino, I’m looking at $1,700 Canadian just to get them on the bill — and that’s on top of paying out a sound tech, paying for posters, gear rental, paying the other bands, staffing,” Brown says, explaining there have been tweaks to the LMO in the past, but nothing this drastic or, in his eyes, damaging.
If you were expecting to see Circa Survive next week in Toronto on the Uproar Fest, we have some badnews. The band is facing some border issues that are out of their control, so they will be unable to make it. The band is working on smaller shows up there in the near future to make up for it.
Hardcore punk group Cunter released 27 this past Tuesday through New Damage Records and we caught up with vocalist Erik Hughes for an interview. We discuss the new release in detail, but we also talk about the future of his other band, which happens to be Moneen. Check it out here.
We just have a lot of fun with it, it’s like an opposite band because with Moneen we really analyzed every part of the music and picked it apart, tried different ways. With Cunter we just let it rip. All intensity, all the time, that’s our motto.
Perfect Youth: The Birth of Canadian Punk will be available on October 1st through ECW Press. The book is written by journalist/Junior Battles member Sam Sutherland. You can watch a trailer in the replies.
