MC Lars releases his new EP Twenty Three today, and he has a very important message about it in the replies, along with the music video for the title track. The song is in memory of Lars' college roommate, who committed suicide in 2006 and the EP features guest appearances by Gabe Saporta and Brett Anderson of The Donnas. You can buy the EP on iTunes for $4.99, and it contains 3 songs, Lars' commentary on what it means to him, the video, and a digital booklet.
MC Lars will be making a music video for "Twenty-Three", a song about the suicide of his friend and roommate. He is encouraging fans to send in photos of loved ones who took their own lives in an effort to help raise awareness and prevent suicide. Details in the replies.

Bergen County NJ's Clark Street will be opening up for MC Lars on his upcoming US tour. Rob Piccininni Jr, Clark Street's bassist, has joined MC Lars' band as a touring bassist and will be pulling double duties on this tour.
MC Lars' "Download This Song" debuted at #38 on Australia's singles chart. The track is currently the #2 track on iTunes Hip Hop Chart and is the #17 overall download on iTunes Australia. iTunes sales do not factor into the Australian charts yet, if they had, he would have nailed the Top 20. It's anticipated the single will climb next week. Lars is currently in Australia and loving it. He was on their MTV's TRL last Friday, where his video is in heavy rotation. The clip is the most spun at Channel V with #1 requests. He performed the track on CD Live last week and was featured this week on Take 40. The track is being spun on all kinds of stations from Pop to Indie to Hip-Hop.
MC Lars' new album, The Graduate, is available for pre-order exclusively through Smartpunk.
