Why are cute girls attending more punk and hardcore shows? MTV's "Guy Code Blog" is on the case. Are you fucking kidding me?
Ultimately, it doesn’t matter why cute girls are there — they’re there. So get your ass to a metal, punk or hardcore show. It can be easy to pick up a woman at such a concert if you follow a few quick preparation tips...
MTVU is making Time Will Tell censor parts of their video for "It Could Be Worse," saying it's "too suggestive for rotation." You can watch the video in the replies and see if you agree. The song features Nick Thompson of Hit The Lights.
MTV has announced that the 29th season of the Real World will come with a twist: instead of just seven strangers brought together to have their lives ruined/taped/made fun of -- the housemates will be forced to live with their exes. This has nothing to do with music except that it's on MTV and we can pretend that's what the 'M' still stands for and I find it hilarious that this is the state of entertainment.
Humanity's collective attention span is shrinking by the week. We now consume information on an on-demand basis. Gone are the days of waiting through what we don't want until we reach what we do. And that, more than anything, is why the televised music video is dead. These days, no one is going to wait through the likes of Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber and Ke$ha hoping to catch something from Foo Fighters. Could you really envision yourself sitting down and watching one uninterrupted hour of popular music videos? It simply ain't happening.

You can find a list of tonight's winners at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards in the replies. The big winners of the night included Justin Timberlake, Bruno Mars, and Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, while the biggest losers were those of us who watched the program and Billy Ray Cyrus.
The 30th annual MTV Video Music Awards show will take place tonight at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. Tonight's show has a great line-up of performances from the likes of Kanye West, Drake, Justin Timberlake, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, and more. The list of presenters is also stocked full of A-listers and Fall Out Boy is nominated for "Best Rock Video" as well. The show begins at 9 PM EST and you can discuss, debate, and make fun of whatever happens during the show in here. I heard some popular '90s boy band might reunite tonight. I hope it's 98 Degrees.
You can stream a new We Came As Romans' song titled "I Survive (feat. Aaron Gillespie of The Almost)" over at MTV. The song is off the band's upcoming album, Tracing Back Roots, which is in stores next Tuesday, July 23rd.
The Nervous Wreckords (ex-Louis XIV) released a new video called "Let Them All Talk" and is currently in the running for this week's mtvU The Freshman contest. You can view the video and vote for it here.
Timberlake and Carell played men's shop employees helping Fallon buy a, yes, "Suit & Tie," only, everyone in the bit had to use mannequin hands instead of human appendages. Things got really weird when Timberlake had to measure Fallon's inseam. And JT could hardly contain his laughter when Carell pointed to exquisite suits from the Joseph Fatone and Lance Bass collections. "It's been in the closet for years ... we finally decided to take it out," Carell said of the Bass pieces as Timberlake bit his lip about the joke about his out-and-proud former 'NSYNC bandmate.
