This time around we started writing some songs….even the Smoke EP when I listen to it now I go ‘Maaaan, we settled a lot on this’ even though we are really proud of it. Actually, some of my favorite songs we have ever written are on it. There were a lot of things where we relied on ‘Alright, we need a bridge here. What do we do well? Let’s do that.’ I think we wanted to break some of those molds moving forward, you know? We’re working with a producer on this record who has said as much. He said ‘You guys are being way too safe. You’ve been a band so long that you’ve kept the peace with each other by making...
We’re re-releasing our first EP (“His Old Branches”) on vinyl some time in the next month or two, and we’ll be doing a couple of special shows to celebrate that. We’re also writing for a new album that we’ll hopefully be able to start recording very soon, and we’ve got a week-long slot on this year’s Warped Tour that we’re very excited about!
Producers Eyal Levi (August Burns Red, Whitechapel) and Joey Sturgis (The Devil Wears Prada, Of Mice & Men) have announced an Orlando stop on Levi's "Unstoppable Recording Machine" audio boot camp tour at Levi's private studio from March 20-23rd. State Champs have begun tracking their second full length album which is set to be released later this year. The band will also be releasing their new music video for "If I'm Lucky" tomorrow. Oh yeah, and they're hanging out with a teen wolf.
According to the band's latest press release, Vendetta Red plan to record new music this year to release this summer.
After a premature breakup of 4 years, the band was oddly brought back to life by a cell phone prank. It seems that a collection of mystery fans set it upon themselves to book a fake gig in Seattle for the band. Some members were even living out of state at the time. After a series of confusing texts, a fury of social media interest and massive pre-sale tickets, the members eventually agreed to play. After the sold out show, there was renewed energy and an idea to record together again. The result were two earth shattering, bowel cracking concept EPs entitled "Scripture"...
Coasta have posted on Twitter that they're still working on new songs.

I’ve spent the past 11 months of Now, Now’s break writing a new Tancred record and today I completed the writing process. It’s going to be entirely different from anything I have put out before, and nothing like the last record. Also 3 new members will be joining me. More info coming in the following months.
This is artistic rape!! These are early leaked demo's half of which wont even make it on my album the other half have changed and evolved. This is a form of terrorism. Wtf!!!! Why do people want to destroy artistic process??? Why steal? Why not give me the opportunity to finish and give you my very best?
We’re stoked to get up a brand new site for the band. We’ve been a little quiet in the show department over the last few months. I’ve been back in school learning how to do stuff like this nice little website. The good news to that is we’ve been jamming pretty steadily and have written a few new songs. We’ll have updates on what that’s turning into soon. We’ll also be playing a show in Calgary on November 26th. Be sure to check out all the tabs on the site and send us a message on the “contact” section if you have any comments, or want to ask us questions. We’ll try to answer as soon as we can. Also be sure to welcome Casey Lewis to the band. A few of...
Secondly, after some behind-the-scenes confusion and plan-changing, we are finally about to hit the studio at the start of next month to make the sixth record. Details about where, when and with who I’m still keeping close to my chest, but it’s great that it’s finally getting under way. To prepare for the session, and to honour the passing of (yet another) Great British Music Venue, the Sleeping Souls and I will be playing two intimate shows at the Hereford Jailhouse on 27th & 28th November. The first night is sold out already, so get your tickets quick!
The xx are in the process of recording their new album. They posted a message to their email list.
This year has been a creative one for us so far, we have been hard at work writing and recording new music in a few different places around the world. In the spring we spent a few weeks in the incredible and unique town of Marfa in Texas. Then, in Summer we spent some time just outside of Reykavik in Iceland. This Autumn we have been back in London, writing and having some time at home but this week we are heading out to Los Angeles to continue the writing and recording process.
Although all very different, each of these places have been inspirational environments to create music in,...
