I don’t know if you remember, but on the original demos we released, there was a song called “It’s Everybody’s Fault But Mine” and one called “A Slow Descent.” Those two were more about the experience of being in Taking Back Sunday, and I made a conscious decision to leave those off the record – not because of what I was saying in it or being too honest, but because people were overly obsessed with that. I had also just come off the Taking Back Sunday and Brand New “feud,” and that stuff got pretty old pretty quick to me.
You can hear a preview of John Nolan's new song "Here Comes The Wolf" on Facebook. The song serves as the theme for the independent film Bridge and Tunnel that just won an award for Best Original Score at the Long Island International Film Expo. The film was scored by Ryan Hunter (Envy On The Coast).
At last night's show in Austin, Straylight Run's John Nolan and Shaun Cooper both said the band hopes to start working on a full length as early as Spring 2010, but there are no set plans as of yet. A review of the tour can be seen here.
I will be interviewing John Nolan at Straylight Run's stop in Austin tomorrow night. We will be discussing his solo and future music from Straylight Run, so leave some questions in the replies. Height hits stores tomorrow.
