Morrissey has responded to allegations from a purported ex-bodyguard.
I cannot admit to actually "knowing" Bradley Steyn. Yes, I am aware that he is South African and that he lives in Los Angeles, and that he has "walked off" three Morrissey tours - which really is his own business, not mine. My personal involvement with him has been zero, and he has certainly never been Head Of Security on any Morrissey tour.

I am aware of the false story he has placed on various news sites wherein he claims I asked him to "hurt" (kill?) David Tseng. Although Steyn's story lends itself to its own ridicule, I feel I must say to those who have not yet worked it out, that the story is a vexatious lie....

Drama is everywhere! Morrissey canceled his current tour and the statement said that it was due to a respiratory infection that he believes he caught from opening act Kristeen Young. She then released a statement denying she was sick, and that she just had allergies. Now, Morrissey's guitarist, Jesse Tobias, has posted a statement on True to You responding to this "Facebook hatred." The full thing is in the replies.
Only speaking from my experience, with the crew and Moz falling ill in Miami, for Kristeen to deny she was truly sick seems disingenuous. I was told after the show in Miami by Crew and Security that there was some concern because Kristeen was obviously unwell. Our crew then...

Morrissey's had to cancel his US Tour.
It is with great sadness that the remainder of the US Tour has been cancelled. The respiratory infection Morrissey contracted in Miami has worsened, and in the interest of making a full recovery, all further touring plans have been halted. Morrissey thanks his fans for their compassion, understanding, and well-wishes during this difficult period as he recuperates.

PETA put together an animated video to open for Morrissey's nationwide tour. It's in the replies.
Every year, 8 billion chickens are orphaned, stuffed into severely crowded sheds, and trucked to slaughter. "Someday," a new video created by PETA and animated by Anna Saunders, is scheduled to be featured on rock icon Morrissey's nationwide tour. The video takes viewers on a harrowing journey as they witness—through the eyes of one terrified bird—the typical experience of chickens raised for meat. Will our young chick survive what 8 billion chickens each year cannot?

A statement on True-to-You from Morrissey claims the "verified" account on Twitter is not him.
I would like to stress that I do not have either a Twitter or a Facebook account. I gather that a Twitter account has been opened in my name - as 'It's Morrissey' - but it is NOT Morrissey. I do not know who has opened this recent Twitter account, but please be aware that it is bogus. That's, of course, if you should remotely care.

Knew it was coming ... Morrissey has responded to the statement yesterday from Gail Shea.
There was something more than slightly desperate in Gail Shea referring to my recent comments on the annual Canadian seal slaughter as "ignorant", as reported in Canada's National Post. Speaking on behalf of Gail Shea, Sophie Doucet - showing symptoms of the same Shea disorder - stated: "I would urge Mr. Morrissey to consider the impact that his ignorant and inflammatory statements have on the livelihoods of thousands of hard-working men and women in rural communities". I should remind Sophie Doucet that building and maintaining the Concentration Camps of Auschwitz also provided livelihoods, but...

A spokesperson for Gail Shea has responded to Morrissey's comments about Canada's seal hunt.
This is clearly just another case of a millionaire celebrity, desperate for a hobby, shamelessly regurgitating misinformation and myths that fringe animal-rights groups have been pushing for years. In the future, I would urge Mr. Morrissey to consider the impact that his ignorant and inflammatory statements have on the livelihoods of thousands of hard-working men and women in rural communities.
Jason Tate on 04/23/14 - 06:41 AM
As is almost a yearly tradition: Morrissey has spoken out against Canada's seal hunt.
The seal hunt in Canada is struggling to make a start this year due to almost no markets, and China especially is refusing to sell Canadian seal meat. Thank you, China! China has stated that "animal rights protests" are the reason why they have dropped Canada's custom. The annual East Coast seal hunt/kill started Monday - against a strong wave of trade and court challenges. Europe continues its ban on seal products. Gail Shea, the federal Fisheries Minister for Canada, says that baby seals are "killed humanely", and explains how the baby seals are shot by high-powered rifles. Is this a death that Gail...

The Manchester Evening News stated that Morrissey "claims he was "touched inappropriately by a teacher at school."' Morrissey has stated via True-to-You that this is false.
Morrissey has never made such a claim. Furthermore, Morrissey does not use the word 'inappropriately' unless it is followed by an explanation of what an action might be inappropriate to. Morrissey is seeking legal advice on this matter.

Morrissey has released a statement targeting the annual Thanksgiving turkey pardon. And if you want to read about why the the turkey pardon is pretty much America's dumbest tradition, read this article.
Please ignore the abysmal example set by President Obama who, in the name of Thanksgiving, supports torture as 45 million birds are horrifically abused; dragged through electrified stun baths, and then have their throats slit. And President Obama laughs. Haha, so funny!

As Ingrid Newkirk from PETA points out, turkey 'meat' is one of "our nation's top killers", causing heart-attacks and strokes in humans due to saturated animal fats and cholesterol. And President Obama laughs.

Morrissey has written a long letter that at least starts with addressing the photos have have been circulating of the American TV presenter, Melissa Bachman, having shot and killed a male lion.
I am not ashamed to admit that newspaper photographs in recent days of American TV presenter Melissa Bachman laughing as she stands over a majestic lion that had been stalked and shot dead by Bachman herself left me tearful. Although I have previously felt enraged by the asininity of U.S. congressman Paul Ryan, and political fluffhead Sarah Palin - both of whom also kill beings for fun, there is something especially lamentable about the Bachman smile of pride as the lion - a symbol of strength,...
