Dave Melillo has changed his moniker to D. Blaaq. His blog update can be read here.
UpdateI was inspired by Katy Perry actually. Homegirl had a solo career under her real name ďKate HudsonĒ which went absolutely no where. She changed her name to Katy Perry and WHAM ! Ö Top 40 singles all over the place, celebrity boyfriend and hottest person in the world according to Maxim magazine

Melillo is tough to say. Iíve noticed that ever since I began talking to telemarketers at a young age. In the music business you need something thatís memorable and slightly chic. Therefore, Iím taking up a new moniker D. Blaaq Ö

I donít expect anyone to except it right away. A name change has to be...

Nate Mullins is no longer playing drums for Dave Melillo.
StatementThis is probably my most serious blog yet, I think. This is my formal (not sure how formal you can even consider MySpace) announcement that I am no longer playing drums with Dave Melillo. To all the fans I met while on tour with Dave, you are what kept me in the band for as long as I was. I will miss seeing you all at the shows. Why the split, you may ask? It is a long, detailed story that if asked in private, like AIM (again, loose use of the term private), I might tell. Readers Digest version is that the project was not satisfying my wants creatively or financially. Money is not the world, and if I deem what I...

Below is an update from Dave Melillo in regards to his recent injury.
UpdateIn Memphis, TN on September 1st, there was an accident. In the middle of our set at The Complex, the monitors started feeding back. At first it was subtle, and we continued the set, but once I switched to my acoustic guitar it got worse. By the third song the feedback was peaking, and at one point it got so bad that I had to get off stage becasue it was causing me physical pain. Now, keep this in mind: I'm a pretty tough kid. Not the toughest, but I've played my fair share of shitty clubs and I've dealt with feedback,, but nothing like that night. For the first few minutes afterward I couldn't hear...

Dave Melillo has been forced to cancel his show tomorrow in Garland, Texas with Houston Calls and Quietdrive. He posted a message on his MySpace why.
Message"Last night I had the van packed and ready to go to Garland, Texas to play a show with Houston Calls and Quietdrive, but this morning my body had different plans. I woke up with a severe sore throat, a fever, and an overall shitty feeling and in light of that I had to cancel the show in Garland so that I could see a doctor and get the medicene I needed. I'm going to do my best to make it out to the rest of the shows on this tour, but I wanted to make sure I addressed this show directly since I knew some people who were looking foward...
