Musicians are a target for thieves because we carry a lot of valuable equipment in a van/trailer that takes a professional thief about one minute to steal. Here's a video where I show you the Dewalt Mobilelock, which helped us get almost all our gear back immediately after it was stolen last month while we ate lunch. I'm not getting anything to promote this, I just want more bad guys caught and more bands getting their stuff back. Show this to the bands you know, because sadly it's almost more a matter of "when" their stuff will be...
The show in Ottawa last night was a blast, thanks to everyone who came down. Sad to say, after the show I left my in-ear monitor ear pieces in the dressing room, went off to meet people and hang out, and when I came back they were gone. No one at the venue or on my crew knows where they got to. They're moulded for me, so no use to anyone else; they're far from cheap and difficult to replace; and they're pretty essential to our current technical stage set up. There's a picture of them below. I have no idea what might have happened, and I don't particularly care, I'm just desperate to get them back. If anyone has them or knows where they...
A likely scenario, he thinks, is this: The same person or persons who stole the garage door opener from his street-parked car early last week walked down the alley behind his home, clicked said opener until it worked and made off with the axes: a Fender American Telecaster 72′ Custom Classic Player series and Fender American Tele-Sonic.
Mineral had their van broken into in St. Louis last night.
After our show this evening in St Louis at the Firebird we went to celebrate Chris’ birthday by going bowling at Flamingo Bowl. Shortly after 1am our van was broken into and all of our belongings were stolen. Thousands and thousands of dollars in personal electronics, a cash box with several shows worth of merch sales, clothing, invaluable intellectual property, and many many other items. Our rear cargo hold with most of the gear was thankfully left safe. The van was locked, we specifically paid to park in a well lit lot with an attendant. When we came out 30 min later, attendant was gone, locks popped off, and belongings gone....
Every single dollar we brought with us, every single penny that we have earned over the past month of touring overseas has been stolen. Licenses, credit cards, essential medical supplies, laptops, electronic equipment, even down to our toiletries, GONE. In a matter of minutes, our livelihood has been taken from us. Our dream come true has become the exact opposite.
It's sad that this is becoming a daily thing now, but You Blew It! were burglarized last night in San Antonio, Texas. A slew of items were stolen from the band, so if you have some extra cash, pick up some clothes or some records. Or if you feel extra kind, the band is accepting donations as well. Head to the replies to see the full write up.
Yesterday something awful happened. Our van was robbed as it sat in a heavily trafficked parking lot in the middle of a hot, bright, San Antonio day. The lock on our rear passenger door was pried open, and our gear and personal items tossed into a Grey Chevy Suburban that drove away only minutes before we discovered that the following items were...
Have Mercy were robbed in Buffalo. Head to the replies to see what was taken and if you see or hear of these items, you can email management. The band is accepting PayPal donations through HaveMercyOfficial@gmail.com.
Shirts for a Cure were robbed yesterday at Warped Tour.
Yesterday, an unexpected misfortune struck Shirts for a Cure. Our booth on the Warped Tour was robbed of a significant amount of donations we have received throughout our summer fund raising effort. These funds were designated to help with our ongoing financial support of the Community Health Center in Chicago. We do not want to let this organization down so we are reaching out to you, our community of loyal supporters to help us continue to help others. Please help spread the word (repost, retweet, retumble) and donate at: www.syrentha.org/donate Thank you. #fuckcancer
Most of the gear, including the van, I bought from sleeping on my floor for 6 months while renting my room on airbnb and working full time at a Japanese restaurant. Danny incurred about 10k in debt buying recording equipment to finish the Mason Avery (His other project) record over the past 6 years that is now lost, as the four copies of mixes are on harddrives/computers/laptops in the van. Luckily, the Go Deep record is backed up in LA. We are feeling generally sick after pushing so hard to make music happen in our lives. If you want to help out, hit us on the paypal. Everything helps, and it will go directly to getting us back to being...
Unfortunately, No Bragging Rights & Rotting Out were both the victims of theft last night in Oakland, CA at the Today's Mixtape Festival. If we become aware of any way to donate money or help to the band, we'll let you know. In the meantime, you can support each band by purchasing merchandise over at All In Merch.
e cannot believe this turn of events, and feel so blessed to not only have everything back, but to have been supported by, you, our fans, through all of this. We will be refunding everyone who donated in the next 24 hours.
Canadian pop-punk band Seaway was robbed today in St Louis, MO of all of their personal belongings, including laptops and passports. Those interested can help the band out by heading over to their Bandpage and picking something up.
This is the kind of news I hate posting about. Some asshole in Detroit tonight decided to break intoTouché Amoré's van and steal all the band member's personal belongings and cash. If we hear of any way for you to donate money or help to the band, we'll let you know. You can always pick up the band's upcoming new record and merch. In the meantime, whomever broke into the band's van is honestly a piece of shit and lower than scum.
Some nerd stole our van and trailer (and a couple hundred-thousand dollars of equipment) from our hotel parking lot last night. So now we're rolling to Houston in rental cars. They can steal our stuff, but they can't touch our joy! Jesus Reigns! (Unshakeable). Get pumped.
A Brighter Life's van was stolen recently after only having it for 2 months. The band is trying to replace what was stolen with another van so the group can get back on the road. You can check out the fundraising campaign here.
In 1999, Sonic Youth's tour bus was stolen, and the band lost all of their gear, much of it highly modified and irreplaceable. This week, however, two of the guitars that were stolen have shown up and been returned to the band.
