The Everglow 10th anniversary tour seems to be have rejuvenated Mae. While they have always been open to playing together again, they're officially working on new material now. Elkins told the audience that they would be taking the anniversary tour around the country later in the year and hope to have new music out before 2015 is over.
Mae's Destination: B-Sides is coming to vinyl on January 27th. You can pre-order it now from Spartan Records.
...Includes two brand new takes on two classic Mae songs, "Skyline Drive" and "Where The Falls Begin." Recorded during the summer and fall of 2014, these recordings mark the first newly recorded music by all 5 original members of Mae in over 4 years.
Mae will be celebrate The Everglow's 10th anniversary by performing the album in its entirety. The first three shows will take place in January, with details in the replies. The band has also announced that Destination: B-Sides will be coming to vinyl in the near future via Spartan Records.

After all, if I could designate any period of time which could be attributed to a negative turning point in Mae’s tenure, it would be associated with the recording and release of Singularity, and the subsequent tour. Aside from the biographical events, the songs and sonic characteristics of this particular record don’t immediately bring to mind feelings up triumph or any elevated accomplishments. Of course, in a certain sense, the writing, recording, and release of any body of songs is an accomplishment, but with Singularity, the accomplishment registered is not similar to that of The Everglow. Zach Gehring of Mae has started an Indiegogo campaign to raise $3,500 to record an EP, initial vinyl pressings, shirts, and incidentals. He is also looking to give back some of the money. More details are in the replies.
The lead single from Schematic's new album, Color (n.) Inside The Lines, can be found in the replies. Schematic is the new project from Dave Elkins of Mae and the new album will be out December 3rd. Pre-orders are now available.
Those familiar with Mae's Destination: Beautiful know of the song "Skyline Drive", which was actually a song originally done by Dave Elkins' previous band, Sky's the Limit (whose album has now been released).
