Ghost Town keyboardist Evan Pearce has left the band due to his health. The remaining members will continue as a three-piece. They're currently putting the finishing touches on their third album, due out in the fall.
Touring has always been difficult for me due to my health and I can no longer continue to tour at the pace demanded by the success of Ghost Town without it further affecting my wellbeing. Kevin, Alix and Manny have all been great and I hope we'll have the opportunity to collaborate again in the future. I would also like to thank all the Ghosts out there for your support.
Update: Heard from management that Greg has not "officially quit the band" but that he will not be performing with them live any longer but may play on future records. And that "they are a very loose collective that have members come and go so it's not really like he left the band as much as he won't be as active with them."
Gift Giver bassist's has left the band amongst allegations that the band are homophobic. The band has responded with their own statement which ... is not great. Both statements are in the replies. It looks like a petition has gone up on Change.org for their record label to drop the band from the label.
All of us here at This Is All Now have recently been made aware of the statements made about our bass player, Thomas Angenbroich via social media. Upon finding out about this information we privately addressed the situation immediately. Although it is difficult to determine fact from fiction or here-say from reality, we are taking this issue very seriously and have determined that the best course of action is for Tom to take a step back from This Is All Now. Our fans are everything to This Is All Now, and always will be. We are very grateful for all your support that has gotten us to...
The bassist of Lionfight went on a racist rant and was kicked out of the band. The band has released a statement:
Today an ex band member of lionfight decided on his own to say some really shocking and racist remarks on his personal page. Not only did he offend many, including the other band members, he set back the social clock greatly by his ignorant remarks. We say ex because we cannot have that mindset and mouthpiece be a representative of us personally or what we’ve worked so damn hard for. Bryan will no longer be playing music with us. We love him like a brother and we will always be there to pick him up when he falls but we cannot move forward with him being a part of this. He...
Samuel Penner has been asked to leave For Today. A statement from him is in the replies.
I was told that I was unequally yoked with the band because of my personal beliefs of how I should live my life after coming to know Jesus. For this reason, the band could no longer support me or walk with me on this path. (To be clear about this, for those who care, my personal belief is simply that a standard of living our lives after salvation has been set by God in the “Old Testament” law. Not for salvation but for living a life in service to God.)
Jonathan Wolfe has posted a far lengthier statement on his leaving Slaves on our website.
I was going to let this thread die out and not feed the fire, but a few friends sent me some screen caps of this thread as well as Lambgoat's new posting today, and feel as if I'm at the point where I need to defend my integrity and reputation. I had originally planned on keeping quiet and sticking to the story that I was fed but after constant harassment and belittling, I couldn't stand to keep quiet. I have to apologize in advanced to the wonderful people at Artery Foundation & Artery Records who assured me I was not in the wrong and helped me out of a sticky situation, I know this is bad press...
The best April Fools prank was the one where I filled in for Slaves for a week and then ended up getting ditched in Texas with no luggage and then had to pretend to go home to recover so they wouldn't get put on blast. Hahahahahahah oh wait, that was real.
Hello everyone! Hope everyone reading this is doing very well. I should have posted this a little while ago, but here it is for those who don't know. I am/will no longer be a member of the musical act know as letlive. Thank you to all the fans, soulpunx and friends that have made the past, 8years of this journey . I've also had the privilege to tour with some amazing bands and artists. It's been a great journey. Thank you
It is with regret that Bullet For My Valentine has to announce that Jay James is no longer a member of the band. Jay has been a part of this band for well over 12 years and part of our lives forever, and we’re gonna miss him as much as we know you guys are too. We wanna wish him all the best and success with whatever he chooses to do next and will always be grateful for his contribution and sacrifices he made for this band.
We’ll announce a r…eplacement for Jay when we feel the time is right, but until then we’re gonna be busy and focused recording our next record and making sure its the best album we’ve ever made.
To all of my friends and fans: I would like to let you know that Asking Alexandria and I are moving forward in separate ways. Over the last eight years together we’ve done some amazing things and created something truly special. I now, same as then, want what’s best for the band and at this point in time, that isn’t me. Asking Alexandria will continue to tour throughout the year and will be working on a new album. I will always support and love Asking Alexandria and cannot wait to see what the future holds for them. I am excited for the next chapter of my life with We Are Harlot and will see you all on the road!
Emmure have announced Adam Pierce as their new drummer.
We are happy to officially announce Adam Pierce being the new drummer for Emmure. His professional attitude towards touring, writing music and being in Emmure has given us a very positive and energetic outlook for the future. This may not be news to some of you as we’ve been all over the world together at this point. We welcome Adam to the group.
No Devotion has been an integral part of my daily life for the last two years. It comes with great sadness to announce that after the NYC show on October 28th 2014 I parted ways with No Devotion. This was a very difficult decision to make; we have been through a lot together. Love ‘em like brothers! I’d like to say a big thank you to all the people that continue to support me, especially the Fans! Much love and Respect!
So after 10 years, I’ve decided to resign as the drummer of Ten Foot Pole. I had a blast and want to thank Dennis Jagard for giving me the opportunity to rock for everyone. Also want to give thanks to Keith Divel, Chris Del Rio, Dan Kelly, and Scott Hallquist for being such a pleasure to jam with. It was time for me to give more attention to my other endeavors, and I wish TFP nothing but continued success in the future
Jon has been fired from Refused. Messages from the band and Jon are in the replies.
I was fired from Refused a while ago. I wasn’t given a reasonable explanation and wasn’t even invited to sit down and talk about it, so I'm not completely sure why they decided to go on without me. We’ve always been better at punk rock than democratic processes and dealing with conflicts, so I guess I’m not too surprised it went down like this.
This band started touring in late 2012. Since the beginning not a single member has made a single cent. From day one, the band has been in copious amounts of debt. Factors contributing to the debt: the big one is relocating from Australia to the United States. Moving a touring band across the world is a very serious undertaking and a lot of money is used in the process, think of it as a start up investment. Along with relocating, unfortunate luck with reoccurring vehicle issues on top of numerous other factors have not put us into a great place financially. With that said, not being paid or seeing any financial gains...
Update: Head to the replies to also see a message from Cam regarding the future of the band.
Kevin and Jason have announced they are leaving Sorority Noise. A few upcoming shows may be cancelled, so we'll keep you up to date on all of that information. Head to the replies for the full statement.
we have not discussed the future of the band from here on out, but a line up change will likely be in order. several of our upcoming shows may likely be cancelled.
After spending some of the greatest and hardest moments of our last 7 years together, Gav is moving on to other endeavors and will no longer be part of the band. Although his drumming and companionship will be sorely missed and never replaced, we love him and wish him all the best. He joined Paper Route as our friend, and he leaves as one. Send him your love in the comments below.
Meet Vulvatron, a spiky purple Amazon whose massive (prosthetic) breasts occasionally shoot geysers of blood out onto her hapless audience. Vulvatron is not dancing, or breathing fire, or keeping the slaves in line (though one assumes she’ll be adept at all three). For the first time since the departure of dancer and backing singer Slymenstra Hymen (Danielle Stampe) in 2000, GWAR has a female member, and she’s the frontwoman.
Well, here we are. we’d like to welcome our new singer Laurel Zarcilla to Smalls. after a couple of months of planing we were finally able to get together once tour came to an end. Gus came in contact with her through her YouTube channel where she had a pretty good following.
Plug In Stereo's self-titled album, coming on next Tuesday, will be Trevor Dahl's last release under the monicker before moving on to a new solo project.
This album explores just about everything in my life that has happened since I started Plug In Stereo. I wrote "Better Off Alone" when leaving high school, I wrote "Give It Up" when my girlfriend and I broke up, I wrote "Hey There Little Bird" when I felt like giving up, etc, So the album is really going to let people know more about my personal life. I've been working on this collection of songs for a long long time. Some songs were written this year, some of them are 4 years old. I just wanted this album to be full of the best/most...
Ashley Cadwallader has left Smalls. PropertyOfZack is reporting this is due to homophobia from her bandmates.
After months of struggling with the decision, Cadwallader realized she could no longer take the abuse and vitriole [sic] thrown at her by her own bandmates because they refused the accept the fact that she is gay.
Her leaving the band was a professional break. It had nothing to do with my past relationship with her, or who she is as a person. I’ve always expressed nothing but love, and respect to not only her but the people around me. I grew up with a home with a mother who taught me well; love others...
Close Your Eyes bassist/backing vocalist Sonny Vega has left the band in order to focus on his new child. He has been replaced by Alex Whitten.
A lot of you have been asking about Sonny, so we would like to clear that whole thing up. Sonny and his wife are having a baby and he would like to be home to be a full time husband and dad. We are super happy for Sonny, and it just worked out that a long time friend of the band, Alex Whitten, was finishing college at the same time. So, Alex will be taking Sonny's place in the band.
It is with sadness that we say goodbye to Jeremy as the drummer in OLP. Jeremy was important to us all and we wish him nothing but the best as he explores life outside OLP and pursues new goals.
A wise man once said "change is the law of life and those who only look to the past are certain to miss the future." We will always treasure our past but we are truly excited about the future. We've just finished recording new music with producer Mike Elizondo and will be showcasing some of the new material on the upcoming summer shows.
Neil Young and Crazy Horse bassist Billy Talbot recently suffered a minor stroke. Longtime Young collaborator Rick Rosas will be filling in on the band's upcoming European tour. We wish Talbot a speedy recovery.
We have some crummy news to share – Corey has decided to leave Banner Pilot, and played his final show with us last weekend. It's been awesome to have him as part of the band for the last few years, and we're bummed to see him go. Luckily, it's just because he has other cool stuff going on in his life right now, and not for a bad reason like him being adamant about moving the band in a ska direction. Luckily for all of you, you can still check him out in his other band, The Manix, and we recommend you do so. So, what does this mean for the other three sad sacks in Banner Pilot? Well, it means we need a new guitar player! If you're interested, shoot an...
Kliph Scurlock confirmed to Indian Country Today Media Network that he was fired by Wayne Coyne for criticizing Christina Fallin. "I was fired for telling Christina to go fuck herself after her lame-ass 'apology' when people got upset at her stupid headdress photo," he wrote. "That happened in mid-March. I wasn't anywhere around during the performance [at Norman Music Festival] the other night."
For those of you not present at either our Grand Rapids or our Cleveland show this past Sunday and Monday respectively (excepting of course close friends not in attendance who were privy to this information prior to the commencement of tour), Kevin has, after roughly ten years of standing to my left and playing guitar in La Dispute, decided to move on to pursue other endeavors. Unsurprisingly, he’s stepping only sideways in his passion, opting instead to pursue the building of beautiful guitars rather than to play guitar beautifully as a profession, enrolling in a luthiery school here in our home...
