Matt from Set Your Goals has posted an update on the band's Facebook filling us in with what the band's been up to.
On a related note, I've gotten a ton of angry messages asking for an answer on the status of the band. The truth is, we just don't know the future for certain and don't want to get people's hopes up or give any information that could end up being untrue. As a band, we are laying low for a while and busy individually with our adult lives. We haven't "broken up" per se, we're just focusing on other things for the time being. Here's what we've been up to:

Set Your Goals vocalist Matt Wilson has started a new band called Chains. Listen to their first song, "Cages," in the replies. Their debut EP, The Sorrow, The Sadness, will be out in early 2015 through Calaveras Records.
I am equal parts darkness and light, and I have always had ideas that wouldn’t quite work for Set Your Goals; either the lyrics were too dark or the parts were too aggressive. Chains is an outlet for that. Once Set Your Goals slowed down I was able to put my ideas into motion. I grew up listening to extreme music, and this project is more in line with those tastes.
Set Your Goals vocalist Matt Wilson is starting a label called Calaveras Records. The first release will be a 10th anniversary vinyl edition of Set Your Goals' Reset. He's aiming to have it out for Record Store Day, and a Kickstarter has been launched to fund the project.
April is Child Abuse Prevention Month, and our friend Jordan from Set Your Goals' sister is running a fundraiser for Stand. Donations can be made here. Speaking of Set Your Goals, we'll be premiering new music from them soon.
Set Your Goals are gearing up for their tour this spring with Cartel, Fireworks, Hit the Lights, Mixtapes and Super Prime. We've teamed up with the band to allow fans to pick what songs they would like to hear. Vote for your favorites here!
Matt Wilson of Set Your Goals recently opened up about the band's hardships with their label, dealing with the release of their new album, and how this will be the band's "make or break" album that may decide the future of the band.
