In a bevy of announcements, The Dear Hunter have released a surprise live album, titled their next album Act IV: Rebirth in Reprise (due out late summer), and announced the "Acts Tour" where they will be playing exclusively Act II and/or Act III material. Tour dates in the replies.
The debut symphony from Casey Crescenzo, Amour & Attrition, has earned the number one spots atop Billboard's Traditional Classical and Top Classical Albums Charts, number two on the Classical Albums Chart, and number seven on the Heatseeker Albums Chart. Just three weeks after Casey Crescenzo, frontman of The Dear Hunter, launched a crowdfunding project to record his debut symphony, the project reached full funding on Friday (Sept 6), thanks to pledges from more than 1,100 fans. The Dear Hunter have added a 2nd NYC show with a string quartet. It will be Sept. 5th at Highline Ballroom. Also, the band will stream a portion of one of their final rehearsals for the string quartet tour on Sunday, September 1. More info in the replies.

The Dear Hunter and Equal Vision Records announce a new partnership, with the launch of frontman Casey Crescenzoís very own imprint label: Cave & Canary Goods. Later this summer, The Dear Hunter will enter the studio with producer Mike Watts to record a new album for release in early 2013 via Cave and Canary Goods. Read the full announcement here.
At tonight's show at the Paradise in Boston, Casey announced that The Dear Hunter will be playing The Color Spectrum from beginning to end, all nine EPs, for one night only. The show will be May 9th at the Somerville Theater. Tickets will be on sale soon.
