Very nice.

I hate that I can't get into this new album.. It was such a disappointment for me. This video is cool though.

That was crazy. Looked like something the Smashing Pumpkins wish they did in their prime.

Sick video. Reminded me a lot of Fritz Lang's "Metropolis."

ThrownAwayKyle 05/17/11 09:26 AM

Haven't seen that one. Geoff looks exactly like Cesare and the woman looks like Jane. The environment is heavily stylized in a similar way to the German Expressionist style.

I have seen Cabinet and I get what you are saying, esp by the scenery, but you should watch this film, you will see what I mean.

And how have you NOT seen Metropolis and have seen Caligari? Metropolis is probably one of the most influential films of all times. It is a definite must for any movie goer (which you are if you have seen Caligari haha)

But regardless of the influence we see from it, great video ehh?

I took a film class 2 semesters ago and Cabinet was one of the films we watched. I'll definitely check Metropolis out on Netflix if it's there. Anyways, the video rules.

really like this video. cant wait for people to start being like "so wait, Tim IS in the band??" i also liked what Geoff said about how they always use transportation and metropolises and stuff, and this time it was by total coincidence since they just let them do whatever haha.

While the video is great, I feel like I'm the only one on earth who cannot get into this album for the life of me.

you're not the only one. (i love the album) it was a very black and white album. you either love it or hate it. there really is no middle ground
