Sparta will play their first show since 2008 in El Paso, Texas on November 17th. They will also be hitting the studio this fall to begin working on their fourth LP. More info here.

This is amazing! More people should be excited about this! They are an amazing band and although I like Mars Volta, they have always been a bit pretentious for me at times. Sparta always hit the spot for me. SUPER EXCITED!

This is some of the best news I've heard in a LONG time. I've loved this band for years, and I have a soft spot for everything Jim Ward does. Even though a tour is sure to follow the album, I'm definitely considering trekking to El Paso from SoCal for this.
