Industry News and Rumors:

Movies

1) Some, uh, interesting Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles news.

2) The Expendables 2 WILL be rated R according to Stalone.

3) Disney has reported a $200M loss on John Carter. There definitely won’t be a sequel.

4) Josh Trank (Chronicle) has signed on to make The Red Star.

5) Daniel Radcliffe as Allen Ginsberg.

6) Noah has been greenlit, and will start in July.

7) It looks like 1984 will have yet another adaptation.

8) Pacific Rim has been pushed back.

9) The Wettest County is now titled Lawless. That’s interesting considering Terrence Malick is working on a film of the same name. Update: Malick is ok with it.

10) Michael K. Williams will play ODB in Dirty White Boy.

11) I was expecting this, Peter Berg says the movie Battleship has no direct correlation with the boardgame.

12) The Hangover 3 will be the last entry into the franchise.

Television

1) Could Clerks: The Animated Series get a second chance in ‘13?

Kristen Stewart as Snow White is the worst thing i've heard of in a long time...

also, fuck you, Michael Bay.

NOOOOOOO to the Hangover 3.

Only way I saw that being a decent year was waiting awhile and have Alan be the one getting married.

Definitely would have preferred Bale or Fassbender but Noah still intrigues me a lot

I think that it's almost like a reboot, breaking the Wedding/Bachelor Party theme they've been having. There are plenty of story line rumors on the internet.

I, personally, cannot wait for the ODB movie.

I'll give the new TMNT a chance, but I have my doubts just based on who's involved. Visually, it could be awesome, but...

Did you even watch the trailer? Looks waaaaay better than it should

drewbaldy 03/25/12 02:14 PM

I am the biggest TMNT fanboy that has ever lived and I'm honestly not that upset about them being from outer space. I read somewhere that he wanted to do that so e could bring in Krang and the whole dimension X story. So...if that's the case then count me in.

Bring on the hate.

You got that right! I was always interested because of Hemsworth and Theron, but some of those trailers look pretty damn good.

Thomas Balkcom 03/25/12 02:15 PM

I'll admit I am not a fan of the Stewart casting, but I am shockingly looking forward to that film.

Yeah, I'm more worried about Bay's involvement and the director's previous work than that whole thing.
