I dig it, but I've dug pretty much any song with Ace's voice on it, so I'm a bit biased. If this post had said it was from his solo project I wouldn't have been able to discern that it was actually TEN and that is what worries me a bit.

i think most of my problem comes from that i paused the new Japandroids album to listen to this song and it could not have been a bigger energy / quality shift

Same reaction I had initially. Maybe it will grow on me. I like the song overall, but I felt the chorus could have been a bit better. The black hole and implode parts were awkward (for lack of a better word) to me. Just glad to have TEN back, though.

I don‘t agree with all the “it sounds too much like ace‘s solo stuff“ comments, even though I can‘t say that this is pure TEN.
Every album has its own sound and vibe IMO.

I know this will sound weird - but it doesn't sound like the Early November... it sounds like Ace. Don't want to be negative in any way and I'm sure it sounds like I am, but it doesn't feel like TEN

This is a little lackluster, IMO. Hopefully the final mix will add the extra kick.

I definitely agree with the people saying this sounds like an Ace Enders and a Million Different People song. I'm not really understanding why some people in this thread aren't understanding that argument. Sure, it's the same guy behind the songs, but all of Ace's musical outlets have sounded different so far, this time it just happened to bleed over a little too much for me. Still excited for this album though!

Never been a huge TEN fan - just never spent much time with them save for select few songs - but digging this one. Definite ICMAM influence, which is great.
