honestly, haven't been the biggest fan of Ace's stuff he's been doing lately. I love the dude, but this is pretty similar to what he's been doing. Not that I'm surprised

Songs good, but the part where he says black hole bugs me for some reason... not sure why. I'm sure I'll get over it though since the song is so good.
EDIT: Third time through the song and it's already stopped bugging me. Not sure what was going on in my head the first time. |
Sounds a good bit like Ace's other recent stuff. Was hoping for a bit more depressing, maybe, vibe.

Not the kind of music I'm into.
It's safe, straightforward pop rock. Nothing fancy and nothing groundbreaking. If you like that, you'll probably like it. No real aggression like some of the stiff on Room's Too Cool. It is what it is. This kind of stuff bores me to death, but it's cool the band is making music together again. |
I dig it. Like all of Ace's work, I bet there's a pretty nice mix of slow and fast jams on the new record. Personally, I'm a sucker for the fast stuff. I'm excited to hear what else they've got.

It didn't explode like the way I wanted it to. The chorus had a built up to be huge but fell a bit flat. However, these are just first listen expectations. I'm sure they will diminish after multiple listens.

I love TEN, they were my favorite band growing up, and this is sick. It's like Ace's more current stuff with the darker/more emotional edge that TEN has always had. They're the best when they write together and I'm stoked on this album.
