Don't like it as much as A&I, but I didn't think it'd even come close because A&I was so perfect to me. That said, Some Nights is still much, much better than I imagined or expected it to be.

Also, Relient K - Forget and Not Slow Down. I thought it'd be more of the same fun RK, but it was a much more personal and straight up great album than I ever expected it to be.

Agree with Relient K but Some Nights=false

The Always Open Mouth, anyone?? After OHPS and Art Damage, this was a punch in the guts to everything I had been listening to in the best way possible. Fear Before was pretty stellar, too. Consistently curse everything for this band ending.

Also:
On Letting Go - Circa Survive (still remember counting down for this and being blown the fuck away, and even more after seeing it live)
Define the Great Line - Underoath (on repeat for that entire summer)
Cycles - Code Orange Kids (I didn't know how they'd top their demo and EM//EM but holy shit)
The Lack Long After - Pianos Become the Teeth (another one where I didn't think it was possible to top their previous release but they proved me so, so wrong)

And most recently for me Ceremony's Zoo and Now, Now's Threads.

I got to know these guys when they did their first record with my best friend Dryw (also in consider the thief) and had the pleasure of having them stay in my super small place in Sacramento.

They finished their 2nd album a while back (also with dryw) and I got to hear the rough mixes, and I am just blown away. The jump they made from their first record is astounding. I listen to that thing non-stop.

TL;DR - cool brag guys I got to listen to an unreleased album

That's my NUMBER 1 Anticipated of the year.
FIL is one of my biggest influences, so I'm really excited for it.
