The Always Open Mouth, anyone?? After OHPS and Art Damage, this was a punch in the guts to everything I had been listening to in the best way possible. Fear Before was pretty stellar, too. Consistently curse everything for this band ending.
Also: On Letting Go - Circa Survive (still remember counting down for this and being blown the fuck away, and even more after seeing it live) Define the Great Line - Underoath (on repeat for that entire summer) Cycles - Code Orange Kids (I didn't know how they'd top their demo and EM//EM but holy shit) The Lack Long After - Pianos Become the Teeth (another one where I didn't think it was possible to top their previous release but they proved me so, so wrong) And most recently for me Ceremony's Zoo and Now, Now's Threads. |
