Weekly Album Sales & Chart Update (05/23/12)
 

Adam Lambert topped the charts this week, selling just under 78,000 units of Trespassing. Adele came in second, with Carrie Underwood, Norah Jones and Tenacious D rounding out the top 5. Best Coast debuted at No. 24 with 12,000 copies sold of The Only Place, and fun. added another 11,000 units to its total for Some Nights.

Good for him, didn't even know dude had an album coming out. Does everyone own that Adele record yet?

I am incredibly pleased for Adam's accomplishment. I can only hope it heralds good things for other queer artists. And I do like the album itself.

Adele's ongoing popularity pleases me as well. Quality having staying power is always nice.

Apparently Hot Water Music sold 10,000 copies but I don't see them on the chart...

Damn, had no idea Tenacious D was gonna sell 46k albums. That's pretty cool.
