The Irvine City Council Probably Won't Be Attending Warped Tour
 
It looks like the Irvine City Council isn't exactly stoked to have Warped Tour come to town next Thursday. It seems like they're worried that people will be drinking beer and rowdily moshing. They're also afraid of Anti-Flag yelling at the crowd to "fuck police brutality" a bunch of times.
From the ArticleThe City Council on Tuesday night bared its collective anxiety over the Vans Warped Tour, which rolls into the Great Park for an all-day concert next Thursday. About 15,000 teens and young adults, and about 80 bands. There's a couple of acoustic acts, but the council is concerned about the crowd that will come for the tender musical stylings of such self-identified genres as "death metal," "hard core," "metal core," "death core" and "post hard core metal."

Irvine/Orange County is notoriously conservative with stuff like that, but they already ok'd the event obviously, so at this point those people should just deal with it. Plus Bamboozle Left was there a few years ago and the city didn't burn down or anything.

Kind of odd that a suburb of Los Angeles would be doing this. Sure, a county in the middle of the county, maybe, I could understand but if Neblahomakansas is ok with the Warped Tour coming to town, than so should SoCal.

Irvine is not in Los Angeles

I do love that so many years into their career, Anti-Flag continues to intimidate local governments haha.
