So sad to see Crocus go.

I really hope the WSS album is great. They've been getting a load of abuse online just for being good at what they do. |
I cant say Flood Of Red's new track blew me away. I remember a few years ago if you looked at the trilogy of "about to breakthrough bands in Scotland": FOR, Twin Atlantic and The Xcerts, FOR looked like the one that was going to make it by a mile. It's a shame, they seem to have now stagnated a bit and not gone anywhere.
Well done to Fighting With Wire, they are terrific live. |
Having heard a few of the new futures songs, I can see why they were dropped. They sound so bland. I can't see them breaking into the charts with anything I've heard so far. Disappointing for a band that had so much promise.

From what I've heard its brilliant you shouldn't be disappointed! Saw one of the lads from the band post a picture on FB of them getting 5 Ks in Kerrang as well. |
I wouldn't really put any money on anything Kerrang says.

Flood of Red kind of radically changed their sound where Twin Atlantic and Xcerts refined/matured their sound, I think that's the difference. I don't get your congratulation to FWW but what have they been up to recently, I saw them back in 2008 a couple of times, and heard a couple of new tracks that didn't really impress me. |

Can't wait for the Terror/BWP tour either, gonna try and do the Cardiff and Bristol dates.

I think FOR lost their growing fanbase with the change, and at the same time didnt really gain much either from the change either. If i was being honest, for a band going for 10 years i am surprised they are still going. I saw Fighting With Wire supporting somebody (forget who) and i thought they were really good live. That is why i am congratulating them. |

I used to put up concert listings on a friends website, so I had a free subscription. I'd never pay for it though.
