POZ Presents: "Why Your Vinyl Is Not At Your Doorstep (Part I)"
PropertyOfZack has the first part of its long form article about vinyl delays here. It's a very interesting read.
I'm so proud Zack and myself are diving headfirst into the long-form journalism pool with these features. Next week's will tackles how labels deal with delays when they do happen and prevention techniques.
Props to Erik. Can't wait for the second part.
You'll always remember your first news post ;)
Good job Erik :))))
Wait, Joe has a last name?
My vinyl is not at my doorstep because RJ Crowder-Schaefer is a fucking criminal.

but for real, good job erik. excellent read. |
Interesting read! Also, nice to know that anamericangod actually exists in the real world. I always assumed that it was a robot who controlled his AP account and who handled all record releases.

Still can't believe nothing ever happened with this. Quote:
The robot would have given himself a red name by now. |

I can get why it wouldn't be at my door step and I don't blame the label or who ever is doing it. I just would like a "Hey this is delayed and you're not getting it yet". I'd be fine with that because I know there is more time being put into the process to make sure it's great. But that time I ordered a vinyl from a very large merch company and they didn't give two shits if I got it or not. I was just mad and stopped buying from them like any good consumer.

not all of it can be blamed on the companies pressing the vinyl. sometimes its poor management/planning, like P+P.
