Their name is awkward to say and is missing an apostrophe. Music's okay, but they do that easycore/poor-man's-With the Punches sort of thing that I'm not too big on.

Best way to describe this.
Name sucks. Band sucks.

British bands that sing with American accents is my biggest bugbear in music.

Unless your singer is actually American, in which case you can retract my criticism.

When you said poor-man's-With The Punches I thought maybe I might like these guys. With The Punches continue to be the only band doing the 'style' right. *sigh* Band isn't terrible... but they do need to work on some things.

I don't even think WTP did this style right. Seams and Stitches is the only release of theirs I've liked, and I think that's because it sounds far more influenced by The Wonder Years than old Four Year Strong.

I really like Seams and Stitches. The older stuff, whilst not great, is enjoyable and great for sing-a-longs. They really worked hard on the lyrical side of things which you can see in Cags or Postcards.

The whole "easycore" thing is pretty much based around FYS so it's a given they will sound similar for a bit. It takes a while to get settled from what I've seen.

Yeah, the lyrics on the new record are great. I know it generally takes bands a while to really find their sound, which is why all of the easycore bands get way more interesting when they stop playing easycore.
