Admission (Paul Weitz, 2013)

Out March 8th

Admission is about the surprising detours we encounter on the road to happiness. Straight-laced Princeton University admissions officer Portia Nathan (Tina Fey) is caught off-guard when she makes a recruiting visit to an alternative high school overseen by her former college classmate, the free-wheeling John Pressman (Paul Rudd). Pressman has surmised that Jeremiah (Nat Wolff), his gifted yet very unconventional student, might well be the son that Portia secretly gave up for adoption many years ago. Soon, Portia finds herself bending the rules for Jeremiah, putting at risk the life she thought she always wanted -- but in the process finding her way to a surprising and exhilarating life and romance she never dreamed of having.

directed by Paul Weitz
starring Tina Fey, Paul Rudd, Michael Sheen, Wallace Shawn, Gloria Reuben, Nat Wolff, Lily Tomlin

It's not bad. I'd probably give it a 6 or 7 out of 10, leaning toward a 7. I wouldn't say you really NEED to seek it out but if you have nothing better to do it's not a bad way to pass the time.

Oh, that's better than I expected actually. I'm about to give it a go. I like both Fey and Rudd so we'll see

Bad movie. Like, really bad.

suicidesaints 08/11/13 07:12 AM

Yea, this movie was pretty bad. I expected more out of Fey and Rudd, but there was just not much here for either of them to work with. I don't think I hated it as much as TJ, but I would only suggest watching this is you have absolutely nothing else to watch/do.

Disappointed me more than probably most people because I'm a big fan of most of Weitz's work.

I keep forgetting this exists. Guess it's a good thing.

Is "Being Flynn" any good?
