New Found Glory To Take A Break After Tour
 

Update: Just so that no one is confused - the band isn't going on hiatus. They just won't be doing any big tours in 2013, but you can still expect some cool things from the band throughout the year. - DB

New Found Glory will be taking a break from recording/touring after their Sticks and Stones tour.

"I think we need to go away for a little bit," explains Pundik, who's in the process of opening a tattoo shop in Nashville. "We've been touring for a long time. I don't think anybody's in the headspace for writing a new record. We won't go away completely; we're still gonna be doing things here and there, probably some one-offs and things like that. But to be honest I don't think we'll have anything new out until 2014." But, Pundik adds, he's not worried about the band members straying apart during any kind of hiatus.

Sounds like it's nothing to worry about, it'll probably be good for them. They've earned it.

Cue to a bunch of kids thinking this means they're breaking up or going on an "indefinite hiatus".

it's cool that these guys have so much else going on. not to mention that new ADTR album is gonna be massive for Chad. will be patiently waiting for new material.

That's what I'm thinking/hoping.

They've pretty much toured everywhere pretty consistently the past decade. If you haven't seen them by now, I don't know what you're waiting for. They're older, just gonna take the year in-between albums off for once.

With all that they've been through during the past few years, they deserve a break.

Maybe Chad can play a few more shows with Shai Hulud to support the new record.
