Interesting line-up. Totally going to go to the Winnipeg show! It's kind of cool to be able to see both bands play together again 10 years later, even though this time it's in an arena and Billy Talent is headlining.

Ugh, a big Canadian tour and the bands on it are all garbage. booo.

WhitefalconTLE 11/30/12 09:34 AM

They need to get to the US soon

USA! USA! USA! I hope this gets extended or I might have to convince my girlfriend we need to make a trip to Canada.

Yeah, it's about time they made up the Winnipeg show they cancelled back in 2007, haha.

Would Sum 41 be able to do arenas without BT in Canada?

wow what a kickass duo, I have seen both, Sum 41 in Dec 2010 and Billy Talent in Oct 2012, both badass good live.

It's hard for me to say. It's been ages since Sum 41 toured their home country and I don't feel like their last two records have gone over as well. Billy Talent is definitely more commercially successful at this point, all the singles from Dead Silence have gotten heavy rotation on radio stations up here.

No
Sum 41 have not really been relevant since Chuck
Alt radio will still play their songs somewhat often, but it is always older material

No. Impossible. Sum 41 played in Quebec City last month in a 1000 ppl venue. In Montreal, they played in front of 2000 ppl. We are far from arenas.

I know they did some really small shows last year or the one before in Quebec, like the very popular Festivent in my hometown of St-Jean Chrysostome, where they probably drew close to two thousand people. Times have changed.

I really wish Billy Talent would tour in the US more. It makes sense though, they're not that big here. Can't figure out why not.
