How is this squeezing more money out of fans? Considering this was originally released when the band had very few fans.

stupid. this band needs to stop constantly re-releasing things.

No one's forcing you to buy their stuff and they need to fund their efforts as a band.

$50 from the test press package is being donated to Sandy Relief. I think that's pretty damn cool of them.

I don't know if people notice, but Man overboard gives away almost all of their music for free. It seems they are consistently putting out those free 15 song tour downloads, or mixtapes. These usually include their most popular songs too.

People actually still buy cassettes? Why

It's a cheap, cool collectible for fans. I'm sure it's also cool for people with old cars that only have cassette players in them.

Pretty stoked at how the trend is picking up speed

Also pretty cool for all of us that we're born in the 80s and made mix tapes growing up and eventually upgrading to CDs.
