Night Verses drummer Aric Improta is a 1 of 5 finalists in the 2012 Guitar Center Drum-Off. The grand finals will be held January 19 at Club Nokia in Los Angeles; tickets can be purchased here. Watch some of his previous Drum-Off performances in the replies.

Used to work for GC. Every year this is quite a show, well worth attending for any music enthusiast. Congrats to this dude! Hope he wins!

I've worked for GC for 4 years, and I look forward to this competition every year. So much unrecognized talent in this competition. Never been able to go check out the grand finals though.

Awesome drummer without a doubt, but a little too gimmicky for my taste. Although I know they get scored on showmanship too, I think people are more taken by the weird shit and stick twirls he does than what he's actually playing. Still very talented, obviously.

Have you see these competitions? Aric is actually in the simple side as far as visual tricks.
