Good for them. "Save Rock N Roll" was a solid album--at least there is some sort of "rock" in "Rockin' New Years Eve." Pop-punk/pop-rock, whatever you want to call them. The rock community has pretty...

Wow, I haven't really cared about any of their albums in years, but this is awesome. The songs are much more tightly structured -- the focus is on melody instead of complexity. This is an album for...

I really want to go see these guys play the Chicago show. That's a pretty small venue--I've never seen a show there. This is an incredible opportunity: a chance to see an arena band play a...

I'd start with "Hard Rock Bottom." Everyone's got their favorite, but I think it's their most accessible album.

I've been waiting to hear about this one. Tony wrote a lot of songs that helped a lot of people get through some tough times--the best way we can thank him is to contribute to help his kids.

Yes, they were. They ended up having the same name as another band so they changed it--then went on tour together. I used to go to their shows whenever I could.

As much as I enjoy Dream Theater and am in no position to tell them what to do, I feel like they make songs longer than they should be. There's nothing wrong with long songs, but as a music listener...

Laugh Now, Laugh Later had four or five really amazing songs while Three Chords and a Half Truth is mostly good songs across the board in my opinion. I really liked the standouts on Laugh Now, Laugh...

I've had some pretty unfulfilling IRL relationships in my life. I guess it matters of it's romantic or platonic. Just friends-friends can be pretty good--I've learned this as I've grown up and my...

That's exactly what I thought. I wonder if he's conflicted about this because of the lyric?

Rockford also gets some decent shows from time to time. However, I would advise staying away from it for any other reason.

I'm just happy to know that everything worked out for the members of Straylight Run. They were fantastic and should've been a lot bigger than they were.

If you have to ask, probably not. However, it's worth a shot so just ask her out for coffee or something. In my experience if the other person hesitates at all to move forward with it you're cruising...

I got sick the last time they came to DeKalb, IL--had no idea they would go on hiatus shortly after the show. Now I don't feel as bad for missing it. I still feel bad though.

Most of the people in the BSA don't give a damn about your sexual orientation--it's usually only an issue at the top. Occasionally you run into someone who takes issue, but any good troop leader...

I agree. All the albums have something to offer. However, I don't think "Don't Turn Away" really holds up over the years. It's got a bunch of cool songs, but the band and the audience grew up down...

I usually end up going with AMD because I get a better deal on a mobo compared to a i5 with a similar mobo. i7s are just too expensive for my needs.

My next build I might try to go with a tri-boot....

I have a few friends who build Hackintoshes--they end up paying about 1/4 to 1/8th the price for the same hardware. Insanity! I've never built one myself so I can't vouch for it.
