That track list is pretty incredible, but I'm disappointed in the lack of tracks from Sung Tongs. 'What Would I Want? Sky' is a pleasant surprise though, one of my favorites by them.

That Calvin and Hobbes reference tho

I'll have to check out the clip when I get home later. Monsters in the Closet didn't do much for me but I loved ALIR and the S/T.

I gave it a nine, which is slightly higher than I think it actually deserves, but the nostalgia factor bumped it up. I basically grew up with this album. I remember listening to it every day after...

Digging this a lot more than I thought I would. Although, I do wish it had stuck with the bluesy vibe from the intro instead of going all grunge. Nothing wrong with grunge, but I feel like that would...

That's fair, that would definitely make the reprisal section hit a bit harder.

On the other hand, the "Knock once for the father..." section of WCS is a pretty great climax for the record imo

Why do you find West Coast Smoker underwhelming? I think it's a pretty perfect closer.

Also, this song is fantastic, continuing TWY's streak of insanely catchy track twos (seriously, how catchy are...

I think it sounds a LOT like Good to Know That If I Ever Need Attention..., in fact that's the first thing I thought when I first heard it.

I agree with everyone complimenting the drum performance on this record, but can we talk about the drum SOUND for a second? Holy fuck, those drums sound incredible.

Also this album is amazing. If To...

I was thinking the exact same thing, it sounds like the spoken word parts in A Shipwreck in the Sand

To be honest I don't mind the lyrics to this song at all. They're honest, heartfelt and funny. And I relate pretty strongly, being a college student on the verge of finals as well as an aspiring...

Agreed 100% on DCFC and Modest Mouse being disappointing. This is very highly anticipated for me as well (though I am anticipating Silverstein, ABR and TWY more.)

Also, props for correctly using a...

That teaser got me almost as emotional as "Son of a Widow" or "Bear's Vision of St. Agnes" and it's only a minute long. Needless to say I am absurdly excited for this.

A part of my teenage angst just died. Holy shit. I was only 10 when they broke up the first time but this time it hits hard.

I still have some things I need to listen to but here's my current top 20, an honorable mention, and a total dud.

Top 20:
1. The War On Drugs - Lost in the Dream
2. This Will Destroy You - Another...

I've never been a huge fan of Anberlin, but a few years back the girl I was dating burned me a copy of Cities, along with a few other songs including "The Resistance" and "Paperthin Hymn". Listening...

Downloaded it and immediately started listening. The first four tracks are pretty great so far.

Also, I think that this format could work as long as big corporations don't realize it's competition...

This was the first Brand New album that I heard when it first came out. Crazy that it's been five years. To me, it's already a classic.

Favorites are At The Bottom, You Stole and Bought a Bride.

This is definitely a better video than the one for "The Negative One". Still a meh song, though.

I still can't get past the fact that the TITLE OF THE SONG is grammatically incorrect.

I loved The Negative One at first but have grown to dislike it with repeated listens. Hoping the whole album doesn't end up that way too.
