New song isn't too much of a surprise, given the stuff he did with Silkken Laumann. Hoping this will be better though.

Yeah, I saw Nils Frahm last year, and it was amazing. I know he doesn't play much in the U.S., but he is definitely worth seeing if you have the chance.

Seeing Max Richter later this month too,...

Yeah, it reminds me of "Revelation Blues" (which I always preferred the acoustic, live version of more than the studio one).

Harold Budd was a recent discovery for me, but I've been listening to his stuff a lot lately, especially since I might be seeing him play in about a month. I hadn't heard of the album with Andy...

I haven't given The Sea and the Rythm much attention. I'll remedy that soon. But yes, the Calexico album is awesome.

I was thinking of revisiting Ghost the other day. That one just never clicked with me, and it was a profound disappointment after loving Kiss Each Other Clean so much. I did revisit that one the...

Just finished Stephen King's Revival. Pretty good! At least better than I was expecting, based on not having read King in six years or so. I also recently read John Hawke's The Lime Twig, which was...

I'd agree: none of her releases have struck me the way I wish they would, but they're all impressively and consistently great. She has the potential to make a "masterpiece" or a "classic" or...

Songs for a Blue Guitar was my intro to RHP (and Kozelek in general), so I'd say go with that. It is pretty similar in sound to the early Sun Kil Moon albums. That said, the impression I have is that...

Does this count as an "Official Thread" for Erased Tapes, or should I make one? I don't know.

Anyways, I'm posting because I just discovered that Rival Consoles put out a new EP recently - Sonne -...

Yep! I got 'em. It was cold as hell but worth it. It is crazy how fast they sold out. I saw their "Low Ticket Alert" as I was leaving the parking lot.

I was thinking about it, but it would be difficult to do two shows in a row like that, what with work and all. My girlfriend may end up there though!

$45. I have the day off tomorrow, and I'll be buying a few tickets, so I'd rather not pay the online fees and save $15 or so. (I am cheap.)

"Holy Shit" is, like, one of the essential songs on here, at least lyrically. It's probably my favorite right now. "True Affection" is alright. I get what he was going for, but I'll admit that it...
