The production took a major downturn when The Bass Brothers stopped producing his stuff and Em produced it solo, which meant him trying to recreate "Lose Yourself" over and over and over.

I think it's pretty egregious that sites like Stereogum fused his quotes without providing context. It makes it look like it was out of nowhere.

The reporter clearly was trying to make a connection between the two, as well as The Weeknd, and Miguel both praised them and says he thinks his music is better. Nothing wrong with that.

i liked it. For a blockbuster, it was a lot of fun without being offensive to the senses. Faint praise, but I rarely was ever not having a good time, which I can't say for other nostalgia vehicles...
