Independence Day has taken the spot among some of the most absurd films ever made. Will Smith steals a helicopter to see if his wife is still alive, the mission revolves around a plot to upload a...

To a degree, although they have trouble opening films wide if they do not have a movie star or Oscars.

No. It is very disappointing when you look at the run of their last five films, but it is not terrible in the way a few of their previous films have been.

Irreversible is a weird film to analyze. It is not outright awful like Noe's other films, but it is a bit too obsessed with shock value to rise above being more than a sensory experience.

Diving as deep as Sandler films is too much torture. If you watch enough of that you will never recover.

The thing I look for is how the generational changes occur. Watching In The Mood For Love slowly climb up the top 100 is fascinating.

The last time I tried getting through the list I finished the first 100 and about half of the second 100. When you watch these masterpieces back to back to back it sort of dilutes their impact.

99 out of the top 100 films stayed the same. The website does terrific work but it is hard to see much difference year to year at the top of the list.

The second episode is not quite as good. Louis C.K. has developed a tendency to keep repeating the same ideas over and over.

Not very good. The whole thing just sort of ends with a lack of the chaos usually found in Coen comedies.

On the other hand, a Blu-Ray of a film that might be less than half the length of Horace and Pete can go for 30 dollars. With future episodes costing less, it is still a good deal.

The early 2000's rock music in The Shield really dates it terribly. As a general rule, films and television shows shot in the present day should try to use more timeless music.

What did Star Slight do? It was probably one of two things.

A. Said something negative about a superhero movie.
B. Disagreed with the site administrator.

Often, those two are the same. The...

Five dollars is not really unfair if you look at it in the context of ways you would "pay" on another format. If it was on FX like Louie is, you "pay" by watching commercials. When he had a show on...

The Shield builds into something quite moving by the end of the first season, forcing its characters into positions that force us to re-interpret our initial reactions of them. The show makes the...

I am currently finishing Steven Soderbergh's filmography. Out of Sight is fun, knowing how to achieve lightness when the violence starts to pile up. The Limey is not quite as good, although the...

There is too much time investment in a television show to sit through something that is bordering on good. Game of Thrones seems too violent and misogynistic, and the handful of shows I am still...
