I tend to think these recurring recognizable...
I tend to think these recurring recognizable hooks strewn though out the album are meant to act as a pastiche of the recent state of pop music. Especially with the tongue in cheek nature of the album...

True enough, but when they incorporated things...
True enough, but when they incorporated things such as this in the past it was much less obvious and much more conducive to the song. But admittedly in the grand scheme of the album not a big deal
