Nice piece to read.

In a funny kind of way my experience was the polar opposite of yours.

I used to go on a site called punkrockvids or something a lot which is how I discovered some great bands....

I came on to say exactly the same thing but you beat me to it.

Didn't even know that this was on the near horizon.

Titus Andronicus - Monitor

I've been getting really into trashy punk bands recently and have flirted with these guys for years but never really committed to giving them a proper listen. Spinning...

Comment spam. That doesn't sound too bad to me. For UK dates we'll likely be paying the equivalent of $60-70.

Yeah. I saw them at Reading Festival. Pretty much paid the £200 (about $400) just to see them. Great set and I think Cedric's new approach to the songs was great. Omar looked incredibly...

I think Boston is my favourite city in the world (maybe a close tie with Toronto). This just strengthens my feelings.

Desperate for some UK Thrice dates.

There are places in the UK other than London.

I dig this.

Though I preferred the old set up in Leeds university to the spread across the city I think they have successfully managed to grow this festival to incorporate some more "mainstream"...

Ah man.

I was due to be in Chicago in August but now I'm heading to Scandinavian.

Praying we get some UK dates. Pearl Jam are one of my all time favourites.

I think the UK gets overlooked quite a bit in general in the U.S.

Our bands just don't have the same cool.

Although I think if you really dig in the UK you'll find some fantastic stuff.

It is a very interesting and diverse list. I'll likely pick up a few things I missed off it.

I do feel that Lucero's latest deserves a spot for me.
The early November album was pretty standout for...

Is it just me or is the metal core scene just becoming full of more and more assholes.

It's an interesting political climate in England at the moment. And while I am far from being fully clued in it has played a major part in me becoming very interested in different political...

You see. I love new again and sink into me as songs. Despise cut me up Jenny. I think the album just fell a little flat after the big rock album that was louder now. That album could've been Foo...

Really interesting seeing how divisive this band is these days.

After seeing many woeful performances, the last time I saw TBS was about a year ago in Manchester. They were actually really good...

I thought Happiness is was a great listen. Sounded like the band had finally broken a bit of a slump.

I'll always love TAYF and WYWTB is ranked as my favourite album of all time but I'd much rather...

I was travelling the east coast with some mates so took in the Wantagh date.

I'd always wanted to go to Warped Tour having read about it in magazines since I was about 12 (I'm 25 now). I have to...

Yes I do.

I think it's the combination between the synths in the background of the verse and the just another bit.

I dig this. It's not my usually cup of tea but it's catchy. I saw them at Leeds...

Couldn't agree more. Of all the UK bands that were gaining steam and heavy radio play in the UK. This was he band that looked set to become the uks answer to foo fighters (not in terms of scale, but...

Agree. Really hope this isn't used to propagate a hate campaign. It's important to realise the complexity of the issue and that these are acts committed by a group of extremists that represent a tiny...

I for one am disappointed in this.

As much as they try to sway it otherwise here. busted were a manufactured band that wrote, co-wrote whatever songs for 13 year old girls.

It's very difficult to...

I really did not enjoy this

Something just felt jarring and forced about it to me.

I thought Cardiology had some really strong songs and some weak ones. I get the feeling this band aims to write...

This. I have it on repeat.

I really wasn't excited for this based in the singles but it's really surprised me.

I actually think this is the most at home Geoff's voice has sounded over the course...

This is more than he said across the two dates I saw of their UK tour recently.

They did play Deja front to back in Sheffield though which blew my mind.
