Clam's tweet seems like he was expecting something else from this though and I only saw one credit to his name on the tracklist (Max B, I think).

Finally watched my Studio Canal Contempt Blu-ray and while some scenes did not transfer well at all, it was still much better than the torrent that I had previously relied on. Contempt is still one...

Inherent Vice is much better a second time. The plot takes a back seat and the characters come out of the woodwork a bit. It certainly isn't amongst PTA's best, but it survives multiple viewings....

Yeah, this is a good film, but pretty weak compared to his other works. Maybe it's because I read the book, but I don't see where people are getting the idea that the story was hard to follow. I'll...

At the very least, Holy Motors is worth it for the reference to Eyes Without a Face.

I've seen some of the blockbusters over the last few years in 3D and it has never crucial to the film or the least bit interesting.

That was my favorite use of 3D in the film. That and forcing seemingly insignificant objects into the foreground. But there is a lot going on in the film and I hope to be able to see it in 3D again...

Yeah, I've read a few things on it, including Bordwell's piece on his blog, but there is still a lot to think about. Did you find that it was worth going out of your way to view it in a theater?

Force Majeure was fantastic. I've really enjoyed the last two films from Ístlund now, but I've yet to see any of his early work. Play and Force Majeure were both able to capture personal tension...

The 3D is absolutely essential, especially for a first viewing. I've yet to see it in 2D, but I can definitely imagine that not being enough.

Definitely my favorite of his. Then it's a mess when I try to order them after that. Aside from the sing-a-long in Magnolia, I think his filmography is pretty much flawless.

Their most prominent difference is the criticism directed toward Bay and the praise directed at Nolan. They both spend a lot of money to tell a story that doesn't actually say anything. In fact, at...

And yeah, The Tree of...
