not to be a buzzkill, but i'mma hold off on getting too excited on that news because dude has made so many music videos that take forever to make it out/never see the light of day.

I can't believe this show will be over tomorrow. It might be the first show that I was on board with from day 1 and watched through to the end that I can truly say was always completely, thoroughly...

Bro, not only is "Wolves" far and away not his worst track, but give it a chance to see how it works on the album, if it's changed at all, if there aren't any parts on the record to it that aren't on...

I did that for awhile while I was younger, but it's gotten harder to remember/keep track of over the years as I've seen more. I just rely on memory now.

Right on! I'm sure the Tyler show will still be really fun. But yeah, see SKM when you get the chance. He doesn't come around my area (southwestern Ohio) too often, but he's been near enough twice...

He is a real tool sometimes. Plus, I think 'hillbilly' is one of those words that should be considered a slur and that we have way too high of a tolerance for it in our society that shows we don't...

what I should say then is that 808s is where Kanye starts to outpace Wayne. which probably has as much to do with substance abuse and other sad factors as it does the music. 808s sees Kanye at the...

no, he certainly did. I mean, Drake says as much himself. I just think that 808s had really marked the biggest shift away from not only Kanye's style but mainstream hip-hop as a whole at that time...

yeah, I liked that album a whole lot. and I'm sure plenty of rappers do site it as an influence. but aesthetically, I don't know what it did for hip-hop that compares with what 808s did.

808s also wasn't well-received upon dropping. over time though, people having seemingly latched onto that style.

what about them? I just remember Graduation outselling the 50 Cent record in that fake rap feud, and 50's career being washed up. Then Lil Wayne sounding like he was running the same tired style...

Right. The guy basically ended 50 Cent's career, and 808s made Lil Wayne look like a dinosaur and paved the way for Drake and the next era of rap. I actually feel as if MBDTF hasn't had the same...

who knows what the res of that song sounds like. it could be very different by the time it ends a la most of the tracks on MBDTF that were released before the record came out.

Haha I've seen both live. Sun Kil Moon was a way better show. Tyler wasn't bad, but god his crowd was the worst.

EDIT: also, Mark Kozelek doesn't drink so what do you know anyways

I mean, I defend the things Kanye says like 98% of the time because he is usually on-point and considerate. I think this was just a thoughtless, spur of the moment answer where he was trying to...
